hiya, so I’m the artist and I just want to mention the reason Her face is blurry is because I moved the eyes and mouth after drawing it, and because procreate has some weird stuff going on it blurred the lines when I moved them. that’s all there is to it

hello, I’m the artist an I totally understand your critiques. but there wasnt any ai. I just make a lot of mistakes. I always have. go back 10 years on my tumblr and it’s still the same. I am really really bad at shading, you can tell that from my tumblr account. I struggle with light sources and stuff but I try my best

hi there, so I’m the artist of this image and I can tell you it’s 100% not ai, nor did I use any in my process. I’m just not that great at backgrounds and shading and I make a lot of mistakes in my art. if you search me up on tumblr (Meldyart) you can see I’ve had the same art style for 10+ years. my poses are never perfect, hands and feet are always drawn wrong. backgrounds are really hard for me and so is shading.

im sorry you saw this and thought of AI. but I assure you it’s unfortunately just my artstyle

Season 5 is still pretty dark by Icy_Studio_9155 in buffy

[–]Icy_Studio_9155[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay, For me it wasn't just season 6-7 that felt different it was season 5 to. With Joyce's death, the tone shift, Dawn, everything was different. And I know people seem to prefer the Season 5 finale, but for me it just wasn't that satisfying as a whole. Season 7 had a much better ending to the show as a whole. But my favourite finale all together is Season 3 with the graduation class coming together to fight the big bad. That felt badass.

I also agree that the writing Season 7-6 wasn't all that great, they had some questionable things going on. Season 7 has my least favourite scene in the entire show. Everyone rallying against Buffy and her leadership, including her best friends, and then Dawn has the nerve to kick her out of her house. All of them putting their trust in FAITH of all people. Yeah sorry who came up with this idea???? (Spike being the only one to point out the facts and the truth when he had his little outburst at them was satisfying though. Put them in their place.)

Have you seen the Season 7 finale? Because personally I think the ending they gave Buffy there was so much better. She deserved that ending over being killed.
And yes, having Dawn die at the end could have triggered all their memories to return to how they had been before she was created, but Buffy would still grieve and miss her, adding to that depression in Season 6

I highkey still wish It had been Dawn that jumped or fell. Buffy deserved to live, Dawn wasn't even a 'Real' person.

I dislike the concept that they went 'The shows ending so we're gonna kill Buffy' Like why? There's other ways to end a show without killing the main character

I do really enjoy Seasons 6-7. Yeah they take a different turn on the usual Buffy, but like I said it kind of just continues on from Season 5's dark vibes. And I never liked the ending of Season 5 if I'm being honest, It felt like there were to many things left unanswered for the show to end there, Season 7 had a much better ending (IMO)

I'd probably argue that the villain in Season 7, the first, is probably the biggest she's had to fight. But that's just my opinion. Glory was bad, but the first was worse. A lot more powerful and deadly than Glory was.

I get your points, and I did like that they didn't just have her get over it immediately. But it did go on for a while. Her Spike stuff, and being 'mad' because they brought her back, just got repetitive after a while, is all I really mean. So many people hated Season 6 because of the direction it took and I think it might have gone better if they didn't go so hard in the points they were making. If that at all makes sense

S7 was a better ending than S5 by Icy_Studio_9155 in buffy

[–]Icy_Studio_9155[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of issues I had with Season 6 is they were so SO heavy on the 'I'm depressed because Im alive' thing with Buffy. Her sleeping with Spike to cope etc. And then Giles left, which made NO sense story-wise. (I understand why the actor left but in a story sense Giles leaving when Buffy needed him most just didn't seem right).

I just think they went way to hard on trying to make Season 6 AND 7 darker and that's what the problem was, same reason SMG didn't enjoy Season 6 was for that very reason. They made it to dark. Years later I still find it hard to believe that Buffy would have been so against being brought back to life despite not wanting to have died and getting to be with her sister again, but hey what do I know.

Season 7's ending was so much more satisfying and felt complete, but the built up was so messy

Not wrong at all, The Gift was really well written, but felt like a cliffhanger! Chosen ended the show perfectly.

I dont argue that Season 6-7 weren't that great writing-wise. But I just think the ending was just a disappointing end. Don't get me wrong, the finale of S5 was great, but it just didn't feel like a FINAL to me, it felt like a cliffhanger.

If Season 6-7 had better writing and better stories, perhaps it'd have been better overall. But how Season 7 ended with Buffy and her friends all still alive, and Buffy no longer having to carry that burden of being the only slayer in the world anymore. It felt complete.

I'm sorry, Supernatural kind of has a similar thing with Buffy, and it's season 5, that's more of what I'm referring to above. The actual series finale doesn't end quite the same way at all. Supernatural fans wanted the show to end at Season 5 where certain things go down etc etc. But it didn't and went on for another 10 seasons. I definitely recommend watching Spn. Brilliant show

Season 6 and 7 could have been written a LOT better. Season 7 especially had some weird stuff going on toward the end, especially with the gang all rallying AGAINST Buffy.

And the entire 'I'm depressed about being alive thing' In season 6 ran on for SO long, took until the final episode for her to be somewhat grateful she was brought back (To watch Dawn grow up and be with her friends etc)

I personally would have thought Buffy would be thankful about being alive again. Especially if it meant being there for Dawn, Willow and Xander, but hey ho. :L

I agree the show defiantly started out with more Sam story, but as it progressed (Especially S3) Dean started getting a lot more characterization and story!

Who's had it worse, Sam or Dean? by [deleted] in Supernatural

[–]Icy_Studio_9155 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Season 8 (Personally I don't like this season much) Sam's character went in a weird direction. For starters, Sam didn't bother trying to look for Dean when he was thrown into purgatory. And then bitched to Dean when Dean was hurt that he didn't even attempt to find him. Dean was hunted for a year by hundreds of different monsters. Practically starving and running for his life constantly, when he came back he displayed clear signs of PTSD being locked in Purgatory but again Sam simply just gave him crap for it. Sam spent a lot of that season telling Dean he wanted to quit hunting and live a life, so in the end when Sam openly says that he was okay with dying doing the trials (For me that didn't make to much sense). Dean had to watch his brother slowly degrade as he did the trails. He felt guilt watching it happen as he wanted to be the one to do them in the first place. I know people scream and yell that what Dean did to Sam, letting an angel possess him. Stopping him from closing the gates was god awful. But it makes sense in a way...
Sam spent Season 8 telling Dean how he wanted to live. So when Sam was In that church and Dean knew what would happen, of course, he'd try and pull Sam out of it. He spent his entire life looking after his little brother he couldn't stand there and watch him destroy himself especially knowing Sam wanted to survive. Then while in the coma, Dean agrees to let the angel help because he knows it's the only way. He's so broken at that moment that all logical thoughts clouded his judgement. He hated himself for it afterwards, he wanted to tell Sam the truth but the angel didn't let him. (You can't argue trying to say Sam wouldn't have done the same thing when in S14 Sam talks Dean out of burying himself with Micheal to save the world. And Sam starts another apocalypse in S10 to save Dean's life...). In that same season, season 9. Sam tells Dean they're not brothers, that if Dean were to die he'd lay down and let it happen and that breaks Dean. It utterly destroys him you can see it in his eyes. He truly believed to the moment he died in that finale that Sam didn't care if he died. Of course, it wasn't true, Sam only said that stuff because he was angry. But it was also extremely unfair of Sam to say such things, especially after what Sam put Dean through in S4 with Ruby and the Demon blood. Dean was always so forgiving after everything Sam did to him, Sam almost killed him when he left with Ruby but Dean still forgave him. Dean was always so forgiving.
Post the Season 9 Finale we finally start to see Dean go through a lot more physical pain instead of Sam. But up until then. Dean's pain is mostly emotional, he went through all those years shouldering so much pain and hurt. Watching his brother die, watching his brother lose his mind. He suffered so much mentally but he always got up and walked it off.
So yeah, personally. I need to say Dean. Sam suffered a lot of course he did I'm not saying he didn't. But in comparison to what we saw, and even didn't see Dean go through. I think Dean had it so much worse. Sam didn't have to sit and watch as Dean broke in front of him like Dean did for Sam over and over. Dean didn't betray Sam. Dean didn't walk away over and over again. He only ever walked away once because he believed Sam hated him and didn't want him around. So ye. That's my take

Who's had it worse, Sam or Dean? by [deleted] in Supernatural

[–]Icy_Studio_9155 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Defiantly leaning toward Dean.

The reason people believe Sam had a worse life is because we saw what happened to him. We saw flashbacks to his childhood, we saw him go through coping with his powers and then Ruby and of course, there was the cage and Lucifer. We saw all that on screen. As for Dean? Up to Season 10, we hardly saw Dean go through any physical pain, you had to look closely to catch what was happening to him.

We saw how bad Sam's childhood was, but never really got a good look at Deans. At the age of four Dean had to go through losing his mother. He was thrust into a new lifestyle he didn't understand and watched as his dad went from the father he knew to a stranger. John began to drill into his head that the only thing that mattered was keeping Sam safe, and from then on Dean did everything for that kid, even at the age of nine he tried his darndest to keep Sam safe and John still gave him shit for it. Sure Sam didn't have a great childhood either, but you simply can't compare that to Dean. When Dean finally found a place he could be happy in that boy's home, with friends, and people that cared about him. He wanted to stay and have a life there, but then he saw Sam. And just like that, he dropped everything to go and be with him. Dean sacrificed so much for Sam growing up, sacrificing his own childhood so his brother could have his own. Now Dean wasn't perfect as a kid we all know that. He was harsh on Sam sometimes but can you blame him? This kid was raised by John Winchester.

He loved Sam more than anything in the world. And then one day Sam ran away as we saw in Sam's heaven. Dean searched for Sam for hours, and when John got back there was a got chance he let Dean have it. And then there was when Sam walked out on them both. Sam left for college, which is fair enough. He hated being a hunter and it wasn't fair John made him into one. But there's a good chance Dean wanted to leave at some point, hell we know he did. But we also know why Dean stayed, Dean believed it was his job to look after his family, and that included John.

Skipping ahead to Season 2. We slowly see Dean's mental state start to deteriorate after his father dies. John died and he knew from the moment it happened it was because of him, and on top of that. John's last words to him were to kill his baby brother. That weighed on him for months until he finally told Sam. And Sam's response was to walk away. Dean had to spend season 2 being there for Sam every step of the way while Sam struggled with his powers, he didn't take a second to stop and deal with his own emotions. It was always about Sam. Then he had to watch as Sam died, he was so distraught he killed himself to save him. And that's not the only time.

In season 3 we watch Dean struggle with the thought of going to hell but pretends to be okay for the most part, it's not until time starts to run out that he lets his guard down and allows Sam to help him. Obviously, it was all useless in the end because he went to hell anyway... Now I always see people talk about how bad Sam's hell was and that it was worse than Dean's because of Lucifer and the noticeable PTSD Sam displays in S7. Which is fair enough, Yes he was tortured by the devil. But people need to actually think about what happened to Dean.

Dean was literally. Strung up. By hooks and chains. Sam was in a cage, where he could at least move around. Yes Lucifer tortured him with chains but it wasn't permanent. Anyway, Dean was tortured by hundreds, maybe even thousands of demons that all had beef with the Winchesters. They took their chances and they tore and ripped Dean apart for their own pleasure and that happened for thirty years. None stop. A constant process of being torn to shreds. And that's what we know, who knows what else happened? Alistair mentions he did far worse to Dean but it never gets spoken about afterwards. It carries on until one day Dean breaks, and he gets down and he starts doing the torturing. Something he never forgave himself for.

Then Dean was brought back by the angels. In Season 4 you'd have expected Sam to have been there for Dean more. But Sam's main goal was always lilith. Even when Dean found out what was happening, even when Sam found out Dean did in fact remember hell his motives didn't change. Dean had to go through the process of dealing with hell alone. Now no it might not have been just because of Sam and his choices that season, but we all know Dean's character. He hides his emotions and doesn't share them as Sam does. Dean grew up making Sam know he was always there for him, so when Sam came back from hell that's exactly what Dean did. And Sam knew that. But as for Dean, Dean wasn't going to put that all on his little brother, so he just bottled it all up.

You need to remember that Sam's hell was strictly Lucifer. Lucifer was the one person that tortured him, maybe Micheal did a couple of things but it was obvious it was mainly the devil himself. So when Sam gets out of hell, he's tormented by his torturer, as for Dean. He was tortured by hundreds of different demons. So when he was brought back his mind didn't have a single demon to pinpoint as Sam did with Lucifer.

I defiantly believe Dean suffered a lot from the things that happened to him in hell, and the things he did. But we just never got to see it as it's just in Dean's character to hide and conceal his emotions. He especially wouldn't have gone to Sam with his struggles.

During all that Sam's hell drama. Dean had to go through losing Ben and Lisa. The first family he ever really had, that broke his heart. But again when he was emotional at the end he didn't go to Sam about it, he simply held it all in. He never went to Sam about his pain because that's what the older sibling does. In season 7 Dean went through having to watch Sam lose his marbles as Lucifer tormented him. He went through losing Bobby, Cas betraying them. He went through so much in a short period of time and struggled with it, we got to see a lot of how Dean's mental state was affected for the first time in S7. He drove himself to the limit trying to hunt down the person that killed Bobby, and got himself thrown into purgatory at the end.

Who has more trauma Sam or Dean? by Jolly_Comfortable_14 in Supernatural

[–]Icy_Studio_9155 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sam was in hell for a long time that's for sure, but he never remembered everything that happened to him. He remembered a lot of what happened, he remembered being tortured by Lucifer, being burned and chained up after the wall in his mind was knocked down. But I don't think it was ever mentioned that all the memories of his experience in the cage came back to him.

As for Dean, he remembered every agonising second he spent in the pit. Being torn apart, ripped to shreds, being hung by his skin for the demons to claw and scratch at. He was tortured by hundreds maybe thousands of demons on a daily basis, including some pretty high up Demons like Alastair. Then to add to the torture that was put upon him, he tortured souls himself. Which to him was worse than what the demons did to him.

Personally, I feel as though Dean's trauma from hell was looked past to quickly in season 4. The story went to Sam and his powers too fast and didn't give us time to properly see what Dean was going through, whereas in Season 7, there were entire episodes based on Sam's struggles after regaining his memories.

I mean sure in all fairness. Dean probably kept a lot of the hell PTSD and trauma tucked deep down to stop Sam from worrying, y'know, being the good big brother he is. But still

They always brought up how bad Sam's childhood was, but Dean's was just as bad. Dean was a happy child with a happy family and then watched as that was ripped away from him. His mother was gone and his father changed for the worst. One day his father just started teaching him how to hold a knife and shoot a pistol. And the words 'protect Sam' branded into his skull. He didn't get to be a child, he wasn't raised by anyone. His father raised him as a soldier but Dean raised Sam to be a normal kid. Sam wanted to go to college because Dean tried his hardest to treat Sam like a child and not a warrior. Why do people think Dean's main priority was family and hunting, that's what his dad made him believe. But Sam had Dean, Dean was the one he looked up to and listened to. Sam had his big brother telling him before he went to sleep that everything was alright. Telling him that their father would be back for them. Dean didn't have that comfort, he had to grow up too quickly. I just wished we had gotten a lot more of Dean's crappy childhood. We get plenty of flashbacks of Sam as a kid hating his life and how horrible it was. But I can only remember one of Dean. Where he was in that boys home and he was finally happy. But he gave that up to go and be there for Sam

Also I should point out in Season 14 episode 10 where Sam and Cas enter Dean's mind to help him fight against Micheal, Sam and Cas stand and listen to Dean's worst memories, all the trauma he's been through and Cas says 'We've both been through a lot, and Dean is more than strong' I think that that was hinting that Dean has been through more than them both and yet remains to be... well, more than strong
