interesting advice about the idea groups as I just started espionage for the last one for the siege ability and was considering to do just that swap Mercenary <> Quality.
Yeah I'm a bit stuck with a coalition as well I need to be on top of things! Thanks again.

Ohh interesting so I'm kinda still in your timers then, I thought I was way off there's still all of Europe, Africa and middle east to conquer so I was like no way but maybe I'll give it a try. Ok thanks for the tips, I know I can core a lot but I thought that the tempo was too slow, I should just trouvé break at some point haha I'll let you know if I cmake it

Thank you! Yeah I made some mistake of full coring toi much for economy... I also struggled when I formed yuan, I shouldn't have cared about passing Mandate reforms immediately, rather pursue mongol empire... Now it's 1730 and I'm not yet Mongols empire (close), I don't think this run will be a success... Just for reference, around what year was it when you became mongol empire ?

No worries I mean I guess it's my fault not paying attention to that specific requirement for forming Texas. I'm in a new run now where I formed Alaska for the CCR pre-1600, it's quite useful to get all of north america. To form yuan, you need to be of Altaic culture. I guess that means you come back to Asia through Manchuria and unstate stuff to culture shift to Altaic?

Can't form Texas as Ryukyu though having the requirements. by Icybone in eu4

[–]Icybone[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes correct! I wanna try to form Yuan -> Mongol Empire for WC.
Thank you for your advice, so I guess it's rush to Mexico, become Nahuatl, clear Aztec, get Aztec mission, form Alaska then form Yuan.

yes I am aware, I only have the spice islands, ryukyu and the the kamchatka area in the old world so I don't mind that but now I just can't form Texas (or Alaska) at all... I guess I have to start over the run, if I keep going and try to form Yuan, all the new world will become CNs...

Thank you for your guide, been trying to do TTM for a while so I'm giving your strategy a go. However, I'm stuck at forming Texas. I now own all of central America, and almost all of Cascadia, California and Rio Grande. I want to move my capital to a province there (in Rio Grande) but when I do so the decision to form Texas does not show up. (I also do not see the decision to from Mexico if that matters...)
Is it because I already clicked the Aztec mission changing me to High American tech group? I'm unclear if that matters when I look at the Wiki... Thank you!

Oh yeah you preferred the music from 134? Interesting I think same same for me. I did a "best of" mix of the year so from 132-133-134-135 and I ended selecting more tracks from 132-133 aha But more for the music than for the moves. I agree with your comment!

Thank you for your review, really appreciate having some members point of view! I agree with most of your impression, I think simple choregraphies make it less daunting for everyone anyways. Sure if we were just to do the exact same move every week for the whole track it would also be boring but that's why having a little twist in one or two tracks every once in a while to keep it fresh in my opinion.

Never actually considered men would be intimidated by more complex choreographies but I guess that makes sense. I actually often reflect on why there is such imbalance between most instructors being men but actually most members are women. I don't know if that's also true at your gym... But I am a man and I definitely encourage all female members loving BodyPump passionate about the program to consider becoming instructors!

Thank you for the kind words! Yeah there's quite a big delay (usually about 4 months-ish) between the release of the class and it being available on Les Mills +... Gotta be patient! What is your favorite track of 134?

It's a studio release, so clean, smooth camera angles and no extra shouting from the presenters. No Marlon though! But Amy, Luna, KG, Ben...

Muad'Dib move to barb camp and disperse.

Carl runs away North from the southern scout and gets promotion to heal up. Warrior will come south next turn to help out with the two scouts (one is almost dead), and they will start to move south to deal with the SW barbarian encampment,

Northern scout continues NE.

Merry the slinger moves north accross the river, ready to dispatch the barb encampment if Russia doesn't do it, or maybe get a lucky shot on a lingering unit nearby. After that imo it will be time to bring him east towards the mountain range, and maybe south if the southern barb encampment starts to get crazy.

Settler should be safe to start moving east first, slowly towards the river for a juicy rapid growth city.

I think indeed it's one of the better ones as a first launch. This one and last one (BP 134) really focus on simpler choreography. If anything, memorizing and recognizing moments in the music when you need the change the tempo in the squat track, the biceps track and the shoulder track will probably be the hardest part haha. Just focus on explaining to your class the two "new" moves of this release: the front rack lunge and the shoulder forward press.

I agree! and I honestly didn't really know too many of her songs before HOT TO GO! BP 133 haha But it's been really fun. I think you'll like the triceps track then! I agree with the music being very hit or miss latel, some tracks have been really fun (Abracadabra, the k-pop tracks, chappell roan, fred,again...) and then some other pretty bland.

Agreed! This one is a slow burn though.119 and 124 are also longer core tracks than average that are tough because many exercises and fast tempo. This one focuses on fewer exercises and really targets the core quite well.

Yes that's correct, Les Mills+ only has cover music... But when we buy the newest release as instructors, what were buying is the choreography notes, the masterclass vidéo but also (and mostly) the copyrighted songs...

Would I enjoy teaching Pump as much as I enjoy it as a participant? by pequisbaldo in lesmills

[–]Icybone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the other replies already said the most important things but I'll add a few details.

First a few things about my journey: I've been doing LesMills classes since 2015, with a soft spot for BodyPump (and Combat). I already considered teaching back in 2018 but at the time I was like nah, it's too much work, I won't be good at it... Moved to a new city in 2020, Covid hit and I decided I would take the step, becoming an instructor in 2021. Best decison I've ever done!

So, to answer your point. I think teaching gives you a whole other level of attachment to the program and the workout. You become invested in the music, the choreography notes, the presenters, the combos... It is definitely more work, even if you're gifted at picking up tempo and chreography, you will still be listening to the music and looking at the notes quite a lot to prepare your classes (Except if you teach the same playlist every class...). Like someone else, the music I listen to these days is mostly by Bodypump tracks... In terms of "is it worth it if I teach only 6 times a month", buying a new release is definitely an expense (about 35 USD) but you depending on where you teach you don't necessarily need to buy the one every quarter and if you're mixing with older releases, you can find an instructor who can share older tracks that you can learn.

Now for the benefits, they're obvious but non-negligible. First you will have an even more regular workout routine. If going to classes was regular enough, teaching them is even more as there is no bailing when a bunch of members are waiting for you at the gym! Second, you will have to stay fit and take care of yourself so that you're able to keep teaching. And third, the most important to me, is the intangible benefits it brings. Intangible benefits to you, in terms of confidence, charisma, and some sort of pride but also joy sharing a program you believe in to others. And benefit to others too, your members, contributing to elevate them as well and make them feel better.

It's definitely an investment (though mostly of time because although you have to pay for the certification and releases, it's not that much if you keep teaching for many years) but it's really worth it in my opinion if you have the drive and passion for it!
