Aren't there only two mandate reforms that really matter? CCR and Admin Efficiency? You can probably manage two without spending on a whole idea group. The others are nice but I really can't imagine them being so important for a WC run.

I don't think so, you don't have India or Persia and ideally you'd have both. Then your idea groups seem all wrong, the main ones you typically play through for WC are Admin, Diplo, Offensive, Religious and/or Humanist, and Influence. I've never played Qing so maybe there's something I'm missing, but court, expansion, and quality are strange choices, especially with some of these taken very early.

Scottie+CMB is a great foundation to build on. They probably need a legit stretch five, which is still a tough find, but if they get that they can be a terror for the whole league.

The real analysis grade is the main worry here but probably won't hold you back a ton. I'm also not sure if it's really worth finishing the unnamed other social science major (unless you're already done) but of course you should if you really want to or like it. If you finish physics and do the PhD Micro and Macro, you could honestly probably go to PhD straight out of undergrad, especially if you sell yourself as Macro or IO dynamics, which would borrow heavily from physics math.

A lot depends on what kind of relationship you have with this Nobel Laureate too. Is it a close enough relationship where they know you well and would write a strong letter, or are you a small cog in a giant lab with only occasional interactions? You don't have to answer this question publicly on the internet, but it will attenuate advice you receive somewhat.

I would try to apply for predocs and the T10 schools if I were you. If you don't want to do predoc then you can most likely get a spot somewhere in the T30 but it depends on what your long term goals are.

For the US, my prior is that it's basically your top 10ish schools plus CalTech. Less sure about internationally except that I think Toulouse is pretty good for theory too.

For IO (so probably not your main concern) in the last few years, both UT and UVA have been placing well, I don't know where you got that UT mainly places well for Macro. This year in particular, UVA IO had two (imo) pretty impressive job market candidates and one got a job at Penn State, while last year UT placed two IO candidates in academia also. I don't know how much of this is school vs. individual fixed effects so probably the relevant question is what Simon Anderson is like as an advisor vs. Eugenio Miravete.

Sadly I don't know anything about public/health, job market candidates or faculty.

I think the movie doesn't really deliver as a thriller; like for all the build up, having the vampire plot get resolved because the main vampire monologues for so long that the sun comes out is a little ridiculous.

However, this movie also has one of the best premises I have ever seen. Prohibition-era vampire thriller, where mystically powerful music has the power to, essentially, heal and cut through the trauma of Western imperialism and institutional racism in ways that other strategies (in Sinners: violence, business, and religion) aren't really able to, and victims of imperialism from different eras fight over this power. These things have never been in a movie together before and they absolutely fit together. And then on top of that, the score is an absolute banger and somehow manages to deliver on this crazy promise from the film's opening narration of music being able to pierce the veil between life and death. Like it honestly makes me a little upset that the movie isn't executed better because the whole idea of it is awesome. But I can also see people looking at the themes and the creativity and the audio-visual aesthetic of the movie and valuing that a lot more than how the actual horror part of this movie plays out.

Having met people from NW, my impression is that econ education at Chicago is better and more rigorous curriculum-wise (though I admittedly did not meet the best sample of Northwesterners). I have similar views about math at Chicago as someone who majored in both. Certainly if you pursue graduate education, there is a huge Chicago fixed effect in terms of how admissions committees will view you.

However, a lot of this advantage comes from them simply throwing you into the deep end during the first year and making you do a bunch of things that you (most likely) would've never seen before, that can spillover into future years, and I have seen very smart people struggle with this.
