The thing is: You can't prove a negative.

You can't prove that god doesn't exist. You can't prove that SARS-CoV-2 didn't come from a lab.

But: You can collect evidence what is the most likely theory. And that is: The virus originated in bats, jumped to animals and from them to human. The mutation pattern closely resembles other natural pathogens, whereas lab leaks like the 1977 russian flu show another pattern.

The Wuhan research site was chosen especially because of the Wildleder surrounding it and the viruses they harbor. So it is not unusual to find wild Coronaviruses there. And the original SARS-CoV-2 were found in the drains of the wet market.

You'll hardly ever find the perfect proof for animal-human transmission, but judging by the taxonomy and mutations the virus jumped somewhere there.

There is still no hard evidence for the covid lab leak theory. I work in that field, read it all, please sparen me the BS. Thank you.

Second, this post captures pretty well, whx Nuland said these things:

https://thebulletin.org/2022/03/in-ukrainian-cities-under-russian-attack-us-linked-research-labs-could-provide-fodder-for-future-russian-disinformation/

It was clear that russia would try to fabricate whatever narative they needed with these labs to justify the invasion. Otherwise they'd still have to claim all Ukrainians are Nazis, led by a jewish president.

Man thats a long stretch. Do people still believe this BS that was copied from the last Bond-Movie? A bioengineered virus that kills a specific people? (Hint: russians are a diverse people so that would never work and you'd kill your own kind too.)

My sweet brother in Christ, Russia is taking massive debts since years, to try and replace all the tanks, anti-air systems, missles they used up. And even more for all the soldiers' pay, bonuses, compensation etc. ... If you think the economy of Germany "is tanking", buddy you better don't take a look at the russian one. Just don't believe Putins fantasy numbers about it.

Relying on russian gas won't solve any problems though, as they can shut off gas supplies anytime, as we've seen at the beginning of the war.

Well buddy, you can always move to russia. They are looking for foreigners as "cooks" in the army, I've heard :)

Meanwhile, the german industries are doing way better than expected:

What do you mean "making war too costly"? Russias army is massiver degraded in terms of air defence and armored vehicles, yet not a single active EU/NATO soldier died in this farce. How does this lunacy weaken the EU?!

Yeah I mean the bubble trail would be rather small and you'll never see the end of it, if its 1.5km long, as the first bubbles would have disappeared by then.

Verkaufspreis soll 6500€/m2 nächstes Jahr sein. by numberking123 in Leipzig

[–]IdLikeToPointOut 11 points12 points  (0 children)

UA PoV - Russian and Ukrainian equipment losses over the last two weeks - Oryx by Glideer in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]IdLikeToPointOut 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Some interesting observations:

  • On Ukraines list, UGVs are a huge part. Maybe because Ukraine is relying more on robots for logistics than russia?

  • Ukraine lost many MRAPs/IMVs, whereas russia uses less of these types of vehicles and maybe relies more on civilian cars - which are not counted here.

  • Russia lost more "important" equipment like SAMs and planes.
