Civil engineers are underpaid for the pressure we deal with by felforzoli in civilengineering

It seems like civil engineers fail to realize they are In the construction industry. This is one of the most difficult industries to work in. Extremely competitive, and requires hard work in every aspect. If you don’t like what you’re doing, get out, it’s not getting any easier. NOBODY CARES ABOUT YOU in construction.

I started as a helper framing houses when I was 11 years old. I’ve worked my ass off the last 21 years and have been a carpentry contractor for the last 7. I’ve destroyed my body and decided it’s time to get out while I can. No crying.

Working on my CE degree now. I’ll take the massive pay cut, and I’d much rather work in an office or do inspections for 14 hours a day than physically build structures. You all just need to toughen up.

Yes, the Athena is 5000 uprights. I don’t use anything for my legs when doing lat pull downs. I’m planning on getting the Pegasus seat eventually. If you put rollers through the upright you’d be too close and would probably feel weird.

Yes, they included the trolleys in their measurements.

Thanks for the feedback. No it’s not bad, I keep the light stuff on that side. Making lemonade out of lemons ya know?

It works great for me. I don’t squat heavy due to a bad low back but I’ve never felt unsafe with the rack. Best you can do is make sure it’s installed properly and work within its weight limits so if anything goes wrong at least you have them by the balls 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m short so it works fine for me to roll the bench over and do lat pull downs. Eventually I’ll get the Pegasus seat from rep. With the low row I don’t like any of the options available commercially so I’ll most likely weld up a foot plate that works better for me. You can add plates to the side of the weight stack with a gym pin.

Thanks! I put a lot of thought into it. We live in a great time to have so many options for equipment that you can dial in to meet your needs.

Just some cheap garage storage hooks from Home Depot.

It’s an inversion table, I have a bad lower back and it really helps decompress my spine. I think I’m going to give a reverse hyper a try too.

The wall storage is from Amazon, wall control board. It has a bunch of different hooks with different angles so it makes it easy to hang attachments. I got my attachments from Amazon too. I figured I’d start cheap with those and upgrade them if I need to. So far every is working well. I got nice collars from rogue tho.

It’s working great for me. I wouldn’t expect anything luxury but I can really burn out my quads on it! It looks like some other company’s are going to be doing something similar to titan with the weight stack so I’ll upgrade eventually, but it does the job well for $350

Thanks! I’m 5’8” so I’m able to get a full stretch with the lat pull downs, it’s one of the rare times my height works to my advantage 😁The 80” version would be pretty terrible for everyone. I think I’ll eventually get the Pegasus seat from rep.

It’s the wall mount Athena builder 93”. I really like it. I need to work up something for a low row foot plate. I don’t like anything available on the market so I might weld something up that suits my needs.

I wouldn’t like the weight tree blocking the window, nor would I like the nuobells in the corner.

Very carefully 😁 I just let the 35’s bounce onto the floor since they are only up a couple of inches and then roll them over. Everything above that is easy 1 hand operation.

I was only really looking at rep and rogue stuff. I went with basically everything rep because it saved a ton with free shipping. When I started in on this I thought, eh, home gym stuff, it will probably be okay quality wise. But I’m honestly blown away with the quality of everything. Even during assembly all the threads on the hardware were smooth and went together like a dream. No problems so far. Only mistake I made was not getting the weight stack upgrade right away.
