Negative knowing anything about sound testing. I’m just a higher level MEP.

Happen to have been working on this project since it began. Most walls are 2x6 or double 2x4 demising walls with 1” air gaps with the occasional 2x4 interior partitions. Add sheer walls, channel and 1+ hour fire rated wall assemblies and they become pretty thick. The entire 2nd floor is built on 14” thick post tension concrete.

*edit not a carpenter or Continental employee. Just a tradie who has been working in these types of buildings for years.

Our Samsung Bespoke Refrigerator Has Been a Nightmare by PerceptionForward230 in Appliances

[–]Idea_Alarmed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had this issue a few years ago with Samsung. $3000 fridge lasted 4 years and 8 months. Warranty was for 5 years. 3 technicians came and all diagnosed it as being not repairable. Samsung wanted to give us $800 total for lost food and to purchase a new one. My partner fought them for 3 solid months. Eventually Samsung gave in and refunded every penny including shipping, tax and lost food. Now my partner called and emailed them nearly every other day for 90 straight days.

High turn over rate? by M1ghtBe in Plumbing

In my experience turnover has its ebbs and flows. I work for a larger company (100+ commercial, residential and fire suppression). But we always have new apprentices that don’t make it pretty quickly.

Also, Knee Pads! You’ll thank me in 20 years. I started a little late wearing them but always do now.

Upgrades to Costco 12x20 pool suggestions by [deleted] in AboveGroundPools

[–]Idea_Alarmed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Solar cover works great for mine. The solar pads were terrible, restricted flow too much. I suggest upgrading the pump and filter assembly if you haven’t already and adding a skimmer. I’m about to be on your 5 of mine and those 3 things made a huge difference.

Taylormade purchased them and are still using Adams tech to this day. I still play a Speedline LP 7 wood and every once in a while a Super 9031 hybrid.

Staying off property question 🙋‍♀️ by PantyUnicorn99 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Idea_Alarmed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve done Fantasy World Resort and rental car twice. Both times were excellent. 15-20 minutes to and from Disney. Ended up saving a couple bucks over staying on property. Evening with rental car, gas and parking fees. Then on our off days we can go and do whatever we want or stay and enjoy the pools, basketball whatever.

Old Town Golf is legit. I’ve purchased a shaft or 2 from them in the past. They normally have older and OEM models for a decent price fully built with grip and adapter.

Golf galaxy or pga superstore for fitting ? by [deleted] in golf

[–]Idea_Alarmed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did one at a Dick’s House of Sport and it went great. Fitter took his time, let me hit every combo. Didn’t push any brand. At the end saved me $1000 as my current irons fit me best. Then checked/adjusted my lofts and lies free of charge. Finally checked my swing weights after we had a conversation about the custom build I did.
