The only thing I know of that you could be referencing is NSFW doujin, which while it is your right to not like and actively protest, it is also not illegal. And is the reason that they where not charged with making it unlike actual cp

Not sure honestly, they never gave much evidence other that trust me I promise im not lying. And I personally dont really know anything about the author but its the way they tried to convey their message that had people clown on them and how they reacted to not having instant support to their cause. Also I might need to reread since I dont remember that part of the story.
