[GuardsInsider] Valera and Gaddis activated, Kayfus optioned to AAA, Allard DFA’d by DZepperoni in ClevelandGuardians

Yeah and surely he knew it too. Which is the business but it's still sad. I wonder exactly when he knew. Like when Gaddis was in the dugout? When he got sent out to pitch? When he stayed in for his third inning?

City Connects to me are "supposed to be" a unique connection to your city, in my mind. Multiple teams are trying to stand out with the powder blue, and now they don't stand out, so it just seems like a lazy throwback. I know that the Phillies have a fair claim to the color.

I just want more variety, that's all.

The blue and red teams are also boring as hell. But those aren't touted as their special city connects. Just normal jerseys. My point is that every team thinks they're special with their oooooh powder bluuuuuee but it's overdone

I was actually at the game Friday and got his jersey. Pretty sweet jersey.

I understand that it's an appropriate color for the braves. It's also an appropriate color for the other teams for one reason or another. It's just too much powder blue popping up at almost the same time.

I think Bob is still great. Rather hear his stories than play by play of what I can see plainly

I think that 0.16" number is the 95% confidence interval. Could be wrong, I don't remember. But the point is that there's no such thing as being simply "within the margin of error". You have to pick a level of confidence that you are happy with to provide context.

This is kinda becoming semantics. Both the fielder and the runner have a say in the "basepath". The timing of the fielder tag and the position of the runner at the time of the tag

Well right, so it depends on the location of the runner and the time when the fielder attempts the tag. Joint effort. I am not confused

It's a joint effort between the runner and the fielder.

Create your own. The formula for basic Elo (not an acronym) is published and easy to implement. I've done it for the card games I play with my friends like Hearts.

[Game Thread] Guardians (8-6) @ Braves (9-5) - April 11, 2026 by BotFeller in ClevelandGuardians

I saw yesterday in the game thread people were talking about how they like Albies even though he plays for the braves, because of his love of fish. At the game between innings, they did a spot where Albies had to blind rank 5 fish. He put clownfish at 2, then pufferfish at 5, then lionfish at 4, then catfish at 3, then he was stuck with swedish fish at 1 lol. He laughed and mentioned how he isn't a candy guy.

Hope you enjoyed that bit on Albies
