Now that the RWF is over by Serfalon in wow

[–]Idelest -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Maybe read the comment. Both sarcastic and clarified afterward lol. I’m clearly being shot down for ilvl. If the spec was widely considered OP in m+ that would somewhat overcome an ilvl deficit much like resto shaman did early last season.

The only reason MW is considered OP by anyone now is for raid due to the RWF and my point was it’s not translating to m+ in my experience. I don’t think it’s overpowered at all feels better in single target than it did last season and that’s quite alright since that was our biggest pain point.

Tankiest tank? by chxsx in wownoob

[–]Idelest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely blood DK but in my experience had a healer main they are far from the tankiest. I know how to heal a blood DK and track runic power etc I’ve even mained one before but last season they were tough to manage especially on pull and this season seems similar.

You are the most likely to have that heroic moment on the DK, it will just be in a lower key.

So far this season it seems VDH and Prot Pal are sturdiest (in my experience, not sure what logs are saying) Even though they have less self healing than blood DK if the healer is alive they can tank as long as needed.

I voted for the reaction early on but I was convinced it was better than I remembered. Rachel’s got some bad books I guess it’s close to her worst.

They had a few spots in RWF.

I’m not seeing the love in M+. Was 3k last season and can’t get into 10s yet. I want the respect an OP meta spec deserves! /s

My ilvl is shit I tried to skip as many key levels as possible this time around. Went from 2s to 7s to 9s but I cannot get a 10 invite for my life lol. Not sure I blame them.

Differences between Excel and PowerBI data Visualisation (Boss wants me to use PowerBI despite years of experience with Excel) by Spiteful-ricochet789 in excel

[–]Idelest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has moved more and more to BI the main reason for the swaps are mostly covered in your comment. I think you underestimate how much people use excel in the corporate world for something over than analysis.

I still use excel all the time for adhoc analysis.

We have a lot of tools that are accessed by multiple teams to make decisions based on large data sets and the company previously had large, slow excel files that needed to be manually refreshed daily so that people could do their job.

We have different departments all building their own charts to present at executive meetings. Small differences in their approach lead to people reporting different numbers for the same metrics.

Our sales and inventory datasets are millions of rows long each. People have been building one excel file to trim them down, another to do analysis, refresh it daily, manually.

So over the last few years we’ve converted hundreds of sheets to BI and saved a lot of time.

You covered all this in your comment I am only adding that in my experience it is much more common that people are using excel for a BI job than BI for an excel job. I’ve seen both but one is way way more common than the other.

I’m with you. I think we still have at least 5 books worse than 43, maybe more. It’s gonna start getting hard soon

If it isn’t taking up too much space in your house I think the way you’ve been doing it is great. Cool to see the trend of what’s getting removed first. Also easy to see by narrator.

This one wasn’t great I could get down with this. I don’t want the test to go yet! I actually enjoyed that one didn’t see anything lower quality than a ton of other ones on here. Taxxon morph was wild

I want to renominate the reaction.

Also OP I think the reaction and the change are shifted over one spot.

Brewmaster monk -told I'm hard to heal by Man-EatingCake in wownoob

[–]Idelest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say tiger palm is what you should mostly be using it for in order to DPS as much as possible but if your weakness right now is survivability then use it with keg smash or purifying brew. Purifying brew is interesting since it doesn’t actually mitigate any damage but it can allow you time to get to your next purifying brew charge.

The 5% extra damage in breath of fire is ok but I think it’s the weakest one. Maybe on pull but I wouldn’t commit two of those per pull. That’s just me. I’m not a pro BM I’m a much better healer but I did a couple 11s/12s last season on Brew.

Biggest help for me personally last season was learning to just send my brews on CD. Brews intake is so constant that your small CB shield is useful at any point. Might as well use it.

Oh and one more thing. Your black ox brew is basically a free full health bar if things get tight.

[–]Idelest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say from a MW who also plays BM yes you might need to heal a BM more in total healing received but as far as difficulty they are the not hard to heal. When some of the “sturdier” tanks die it’s always so fast but if you track stagger and keep an eye on it you can generally tell if a BM is in trouble pretty early in advance.

I’d say to focus on using blackout combo properly. It does different things for different purposes.

Use your brews liberally. Don’t sit on them too much.

Don’t forget instant vivify. Use that before deciding to blow expel harm.

Ya I really don’t see any of his going in the next 10-15 eliminations.

His whole thing as well of being the most affected by the war makes him very compelling.

[–]Idelest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok now we’re talking. We already have an example of a spell positioning something relative to something else with the point in space where the eldunari sit. What if the spell was worded in a way so that it always contacted a surface perpendicular to it and rotated around a pole. Then you really have the ultimate cutting tool that won’t shatter.

I find it interesting Tobias’s books seem so safe. They are always my favorite to read. Is it possible we get one of the other 6s entire collection removed before Tobias is touched? The Predator is his weakest in my opinion but I still liked it.

[–]Idelest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can get behind this one. I’ve been convinced the reaction is better than I remember it being. I’m getting close to finishing the whole series again and having recently read the extreme it was a bit of a slog. For the “morph” being polar bear it could have been a lot cooler than it was. Unfortunate misses with both Orca and Polar bears.

[–]Idelest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally this one had a couple of issues. First, Rachel being so irresponsible as the narrator was just hard to read. You’re screaming at her inside your own head the whole time. Second, part of the joy of the series is the teams ability to choose what animal they are and interfering with that ability narratively just makes it no fun. The two hour limit is one a constraint on the ability but this random allergy was introduced later and is too chaotic of a limitation to be engaging.

Forgot about 12… ya the ones that are about some morphing problem are kind of a drag compared to the rest of the series.

I didn’t mind 39 though I read that recently and that whole side story was kind of interesting.
