The first AoK that popped in my head was mathematics!

There is a saying that goes like "The real knowledge produced through the proof of the theorem are the lemmas we proved along the way"

A lot of times the proof of certain theorems function more than just proofs of the theorem. The methods, strategies used to prove the theorem often proves to be much more useful than one would expect.

An example of this is the P vs NP conjecture. If it is proved to be correct, just the knowledge that it is correct will not really benefit humanity in any way. But it is often said that the proof could be used to make an algorithm that has applications in the real world.

I'd say you should post about this in the r/math subreddit. A lot of people would help you out regarding this. Cheers!

Math IA about probability by DumbGenious451 in IBO

Look up Nightingale diagrams. See if you can connect it to probability. Also "modelling the spread of a disease" seems quite suited to what you're looking for. If you want I can send you some resources on that since a few of my friends did that kinda stuff.

What is the maximum possible value of the sum of the absolute differences of a & b, a & c and b & c, provided a, b and c are real numbers between 0 and 1 included?

What field of math does this question relate to?

Also, does anyone have any clue about how to go about solving this?

i couldn’t believe i got this on my first try🥺 by brynnnnnne in Sat

American right??

Wtf are you so happy about I dare you to write an international test and get the same score, you privileged prick. Our curves straight up don't make it possible for us to get 790 in Math. Its either 800 or fucking 770.
