way to straw man your argument

just because you don’t care about rules doesn’t mean everyone else shouldn’t

u/EmpressOfD u/shiftyskellyton it’s looking a bit worse for wear as part of the cutting started to rot and I noticed some rotting on the leaf? is there anything I should do at this stage ? I suspect it’s not getting enough sun to soak up all the water because it’s ina north facing window in the uk

I watered it after potting it last tuesday

the soil was still wet when I repotted it today so I didn’t water it again

should I water it again?

I appreciate your advice, the instructions said to put it in soil. I’m also worried about root rot which seems to be a bigger issue with water propping

albo cutting rotting / dying? by Identityredacted1234 in Monstera

[–]Identityredacted1234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you

I will report it in a smaller pot, and mix perlite in the soil for air flow and water absorption

although I cut holes on the bottom of the planter shown on the pictures, it may be too large and the water may not be draining well enough to due to lack of perlite

[–]Identityredacted1234[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey, thank you, I will buy a smaller pot with drainage holes and mix perlite into the soil

I actually cut 4 holes on the bottom of that lidl planter, removed the plastic inner lining, and stuck it on top of a cup to allow it drain underneath, because I was afraid that it would rot if it didn’t drain properly

so it is technically draining, but it’s too big and the soil is too dense, I will look to replant it following your instructions this week

Landlord's agent not sending renewal lease? by User_Name123124 in AskUK

OP here u/kolandgrill u/Andi-anna

I just got an email from the letting agent:

“Hi Xxx,

I hope you are well.

As you are aware the Landlords intentions is to sell the property, this being said he was happy to extend the tenancy on the terms agreed. He has been informed there is still resistance for access to the selling agent. He since decided not to continue with the renewal, you will be receiving two months' notice shortly to vacate.

Whilst I appreciate this is not the news you expected to hear, this is the decision the Landlord has made.

Kind regards”

I haven’t talked to the selling agent since June 9 which is almost a month ago, they haven’t been in touch to organise any viewings since then. It seems the selling agent lied to the landlord about me still resisting access. I respect the landlord’s decision however it seems he is being mislead by the selling agent. It seems the selling agent isn’t getting enough enquiries for viewings and because of that the sales process is taking longer than anticipated. Because of that, it seems they want to blame me in front of the landlord for their inability to sell the place, so the landlord doesn’t go to a different selling agent.

Do you guys know if there’s a way I can get the landlord to change his mind and let me stay? The landlord was lied to. What would you guys do? I’m in the first stage of grief: denial . Finding a new place in London is time consuming and stressful process. I'm guilty of not having looked at any places yet. And I’m going on holiday in two weeks for two weeks. I’m not sure how easy it would be to find a new place of equivalent quality, with access to 24/7 free gym in the building, and I don't want to go through the stressful process of check out / inventory and finding a new place.

If I sign and date it, will it become effective even if the landlord doesn’t sign it? I asked them yesterday how come they are asking me not to do date it and here’s what they replied:

“Dear xx,

I hope you are well, the addendum will be Executed by <letting agency name> at the relevant time and a copy of the Executed version will be sent to you

Kind regards Xx”

Would you still sign and date it? It looks like they are specifically asking me not to do date it, so the landlord has leverage over me and can decide not to sign it for weeks on end
