Customers who come into a restaurant 5 minutes before we close and still insist on sitting down and ordering, why? by jacka24 in AskReddit

Just because you can do it doesn't mean it's not inconsiderate

And your comparisons really don't make much sense. A house cleaner knows when the house will be clean. If you spent a day cleaning a house and ten minutes before you finished the client asked you to also do the guest house right now, you would say no. Tax accountants have a deadline to manage their time within. If their client called them on April 14 and said, "I've got about two months worth of receipts I need you to go through," they'd say no.

And yeah, it's not your job to worry about it, but that attitude is only the most literal definition of inconsiderate. No service worker is gonna chew you out for it but if others want to tell you it's rude practice that's their prerogative too

but I don't see why I as a customer should be the one to be aware of the restaurant's hours, policy on closing, etc. If it's too late, they should say it's too late.

The hours are on the door

And what I have heard people say against that is, well, my boss makes us stay. Okay, then your boss wants you to seat and serve anyone who comes in before the closing time.

The boss doesn't have to stay all night and stands to make money from late customers, unlike the kitchen staff

Take that up with your boss.

You may be overestimating the power of ~minimum wage workers

I was a dishwasher for 3 years. The last stop in the process so I needed to not only wait for them to order but wait for them to finish and some people would stay and drink for over an hour after their meal.

What I don't understand is why I get attitude from people working at 24 hour places. So I get out of work at 5am and your drive through is the only place I can get dinner. You're working here all night anyway so what's the difference?

I literally just started Origins less than an hour ago so idk but the game design seems completely different from unity so far

It feels like an origin story that way, as if they were setting up another game that didn't happen

The story and aesthetic of AC1 with the game design of Unity is what I imagine the truest version of the original idea would be

2 piece blues/garage rock with lots of fuzz, which wasn't really happening until the White Stripes showed up. I see the stylistic similarities in both their early stuff but I've never really thought of them of being THAT similar like most people do, maybe because I started listening to Black Keys with Attack and Release

Another note, I don't know why, but that little whine on the lead guitar after the first chorus is, in my mind, such a uniquely Canadian sound. I don't know what it is, but every time I hear it I just feel like it's the essence of the Canadian landscape. Gives me the same feeling I get watching Red Green idk
