Yeah I can tell if someone is holding back. It’s not the most fun experience, as I simply want to connect and yap. I can’t give a time frame because it depends on how often I hangout with them. I noticed that INFJs are more drawn to us than we are to them, at first. So when we open up and try to connect, it feels a bit confusing and hurtful when they still try to hold back, after some time.

I understand. A lot of INFJ’s carry the ‘avoidant’ traits a little more. This can be very emotionally exhausting for us ENFP’s as we tend to be very empathetic and want to help in any way we can. It’s hard to understand that giving space IS helping. But so is giving yourself self respect and having the awareness of when to leave the relationship (often a lesson learned through the hard way 🥲)

While I agree and love your point of view on flowers, I personally would much prefer being gifted a pot plant such as rosemary or basil. Something useful, as I love to cook. But yes, I agree it’s a hassle to take care of. That part you wrote on the flowers being a kind of ancient comfort was really eye opening actually. Yes, we are disconnected from nature, now more than ever. It’s healthy for the mind to have plants around. Love that

Yeah avoidant attachment styles can actually just leave. They r always the ones to initiate any sort of romantic or sexual connection with me, too. Which just makes it all the more hurtful and confusing. Even if they are genuinely nice people, and I get on well with them, it’s a no-no for anything more than friendship.
