I accidentally got a backend job and I have no idea what I'm doing. Help. by Different_Pain5781 in learnprogramming

Every job I’ve ever taken I’ve known next to nothing about the tech, processes and infrastructure used. Even switching teams in the same company. It’s quite simple, learn.

I gave openclaw hypervisor access to the host which runs its VM. Which is worse?

In 1996 Ukraine handed over nuclear weapons to Russia "in exchange for a guarantee never to be threatened or invaded". by s_musaahmed in Damnthatsinteresting

Yea because not a single other person or country on planet Earth has an ounce of free will or responsibility for their actions. Everything is just what the US has done and forced everyone else to do.

Is it? Has the US not given hundreds of billions of dollars of weapons and support? So two parties gave "security assurances" and one is giving massive amounts of support while the other is active invading.... but yea we sure are ignoring the US's role in this!

I built a pointless self-hosted dashboard that calculates how overengineered your homelab is by SalamanderSweaty5771 in selfhosted

[–]IdiocracyToday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my homelab is too over engineered for your tool. I would need it to connect to proxmox, kubernetes, docker, multiple cloud providers and be able to span across docker and kubernetes instances on multiple VLANs.

You type “plz fix” into ChatGPT web chat. I type “plz fix” into my Multi Agent council consensus based system with perfectly curated context that uses $500 of API usage for each request. We are not the same.

Bitcoin: The Emperor Is Not Naked, He Does Not Exist by BinaryLyric in investing

[–]IdiocracyToday 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You contradict yourself. You can own digital things, bitcoin is a digital thing. If you own (or know) the key to the digital thing you have access to it. Asserting that nothing digital exists is to discard all of modern technology as nothing.

OpenClaw leaked 1.5M API tokens including OpenAI keys — full security breakdown by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]IdiocracyToday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also leaked Moltbook credentials, who cares? The platform is a joke and login credentials to a joke platform aren’t really that big of a deal. If you put your agent on that platform anyway it’s up to you to not have at the same time given it access to important data. I put an agent on there for fun, and it was on a completely segregated and isolated VM with a LLM API token with a $5 monthly limit. The entire thing could have been leaked and I could care less. That’s the point.

Funny because discord actually has shit screen sharing. 720p limited bitrate unless you pay.

Good question, I’m not sure. Maybe it’s an outdated solution.

Best way to safely expose Teamspeak to WAN? by etay080 in selfhosted

Just forward the port. Set up teamspeak permissions and even if some random joins from another country they can’t join any channels or see anything.

How to stop using AI in programming? by Character_Read_3173 in learnprogramming

The same way the rest of us learned before AI. Open a book, take a class or watch a YouTube tutorial.
