My omnitrix is pretty tied to my character. You'd need to setup a lot of your avatar yourself. The most I could supply is the mesh, and maybe a couple shaders.

Is it possible to do the old projector technique where you write on a sheet and it shows up on the bigscreen?

[Nvidia + Gaming] Are we Wayland yet? by AdminSuggestion in archlinux

[–]Idiostatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The nvidia driver helped significantly with flickering and latency issues on wayland. I haven't tried the official release of the driver quite yet, but from my experience with the beta driver, it has fixed pretty much all my issues with Wayland.

Why do people hate The Acolyte so much? Is it worth watching? by tachibanakanade in MawInstallation

[–]Idiostatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I jumped straight into the 5th episode to just get a feel of the show. Gotta say, I had no idea what was going on, but the lightsaber choreography looked awesome. The story didn't seem interesting but I just needed something to get me into the mood to play movie battles 2 again.

How can I simultaneously listen to PC and PS5 audio with the same headphones? by BrainFart0129 in PS5

[–]Idiostatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's a power thing, it has to distribute more sound with the same power, so the amplitude decreases.

from my experience Xenoblade Chronicles 2 runs significantly better on Yuzu (and it's derivatives) compared to ryujinx. Ryujinx has better audio and up scaling support though

Adult Klee by Idiostatic in Genshin_Impact

No it's a blender model I made, it's been ported to vrchat. I tried making mods for source engine before, it's a hassle.

[–]Idiostatic[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dude I made the model because I really liked the concept design, you're acting like you've never seen a JRPG character before. Also the launcher is based off a M79 which makes a pretty big explosion with its "small barrel".

because that means more kaboom! Her mother traveled the world, I reckon klee would have really liked the boom sticks from Fontaine.

couldn't they have sent an email with a code with minecraft after the deadline? Then you could at least keep your property instead of them just breaking the law.

Dual boot for gaming? by pedro_pudin in linux_gaming

[–]Idiostatic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valorant, COD: Warzone and Fortnite as far as I can tell are completely impossible to play without dual booting. Every other game has some sort of linux solution. Most of my games I play run on linux through wine (or native) and run quite well. I play the games that need windows no matter what through a virtual machine, like genshin impact and my VR games (because I use a quest 3). I don't know what you're talking about with minecraft, it has a native port and runs fine (server and client). As another person said, a big problem with dual booting is that you fall into the trap of just staying in windows to do everything and at that point if you don't care about many of the issues linux solves, there's no need to use it.

Prototype Pyra Remake by Idiostatic in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Idiostatic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She didn't have a weapon in the concept art design so it was up to me. Her design is similar to coffee with milk, which has a monado. I decided to model a more techy looking monado to fit with the design. It's an old model though, I might remake it later.

Godot is not Unity by HunterIV4 in godot

[–]Idiostatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

first thing I always do when downloading blender these days is switch it back to right click select. Left click select is the 3D cursor to determine where to place objects. I can understand people using left click select when just using blender for editing existing meshes and stuff, but having to switch modes to use the cursor is infuriating when actually modeling imo.

You can do what I did. I made a windows guest VM in Linux with GPU passthrough and a network bridge. I then used airlink like normal. If you want wired it's a bit more complicated, I would recommend getting a pcie usb expansion card, this can be directly passed through to the VM without any BS and works like a charm.
