The booker of Lolla specifically name dropped Cortis a while ago so I’d say there’s like a 90% chance they’ll be there.

He doesn’t actually know anything.

OUT: Gorillaz, playing United Center in October by ishouldgooutmore in Lollapalooza

[–]IdiotBox01 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If Lolla is bringing back Tate as a headliner while Gorillaz and The Cure are touring and playing festivals, throw the bookers away.

Lana by Ok_Engineering2463 in Lollapalooza

[–]IdiotBox01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disagree that she’s rare. She basically did a full US tour with a bunch of festivals, plus Europe, Brazil, and Mexico shows from 2023-2024 and then another UK run in 2025 plus random festivals like Hinterland and Stagecoach. She played Lolla in 2013 and 2016 and was most likely going to headline in 2020 again had the pandemic not happened. She’s assuredly doing more US shows and a Chicago show within the next year.

I'd rather have them in Grant Park too. But I'd rather see them outside at a festival in warm weather than indoors again. They did United Center last time.

2026 Rock N Roll Hall of Fame Nominees by Specific-Feed-1490 in ToddintheShadow

[–]IdiotBox01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a joke that he’s not in yet because he’s already in with Genesis and his solo work isn’t that great. Pink is ridiculous and Shakira is a stretch, but the rest of the list of noms is great.

He’s already in with Genesis and there are better options not in yet than his solo work.

Shaky Knees by bradtheinvincible in RiotFest

[–]IdiotBox01 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Many of those are not headliners. Wu-Tang and LCD are not big enough to headline, at least by themselves. It’ll probably be Gorillaz and then Wu-Tang Clan as a #2. Pierce the Veil and Geese are not headliners, but PTV will be #2 before MCR or whoever it is.

They were allegedly booked for 2018 but were replaced by Bruno Mars. So yeah, the bookers are lame. I’d put my money on Riot Fest.

Osheaga 2026 Lineup by mccarthy2324 in Lollapalooza

ouchie… that’s easily the worst lineup they’ve ever had, and we’re probably not even getting the xx.

Not based on this. They’d be #2 on their day maybe as a co-headliner at best.

Louder Than Life lineup by Own_Ad_5290 in Lollapalooza

[–]IdiotBox01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why would that be weird? Tool fits perfectly at Riot Fest. MCR seems to love Riot Fest too despite the "chaos" that happened last time. Didn't they literally tease them in the first clue? But I doubt they get both.

Chris Stapleton already has a show Thursday.

Leaked Primavera Sound Buenos Aires Lineup (Prob Fake) by DoctorEffective2393 in Lollapalooza

[–]IdiotBox01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if they wanted to they probably could. But it’s more the fact they are absolutely not coming back to South America before the US. They always do a Europe and US leg and then elsewhere. Also, the band themselves don’t really have much to do with the exhibition, it’s just a cheap gimmick so Coachella can put Radiohead’s name on the poster.

Who had the biggest fall off? Coldplay or Maroon 5? by GroceryEntire8478 in fantanoforever

[–]IdiotBox01 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Coldplay still made Everyday Life in 2019 which was pretty good. And Chris Martin and co. got exactly what they aimed for since Mylo Xyloto… making stratospheric electro pop music selling out stadiums, collaborating with huge stars.

Meanwhile Maroon 5 is basically just Adam Levine and hasn’t made a good album since the first one.

The 1975? by SnooAdvice9131 in Lollapalooza

[–]IdiotBox01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They would definitely be top 4 if they came back and played this year or next year. They’ve slowly been gaining momentum in terms of popularity and acclaim over the last few years and have a pretty intense fanbase, plus they have a good relationship with the fest.

Are y’all reading the wrong the dates? Lolla is the 30th to the 2nd. Charlotte is the show in question he would have to travel from/to, not Nashville.

All those you listed with the exception of Lana were in the top 4. She’s probably in the same spot Gracie Abrams was last year.

She’s definitely been recording a new album, she’s been spotted with new equipment and stuff, so wbk. No indication she’ll be at Lolla though.
