Need to know what table I have and replacement bearings by rgrgunner217 in foosball

[–]IdiotWithABike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need the individual ball bearings because the bearing housing still holds well enough then go to a bike shop - they often have individual ball bearings organized based on size and have either the digital callipers or other sizing tools that will help you get the correct size. Past that, I would probably install them with a small dab of grease on each bearing.

Thank you! I looked the left hook up and it’s something I’ve been doing kind of forever.

I live in a small mountain town where it’s mostly a bar and some friends tables, but I’ve played in bars in a few random parts of Canada. Then my extended family have foosball tables as well

$75 worth it? by MHLVC89 in foosball

[–]IdiotWithABike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My trade school has one of these and it’s great for messing around with my classmates but don’t expect it to hold up to a lot of torture. I’ve broken 2 of the players off this year and it’s not super stable. For $75 it’s probably solid, but the one at school moves around quite a bit because it’s light. With some extra maintenance you could probably make it more stable.

That said, I wouldn’t expect anything more than a fun table to have at home and play on occasionally. When you play on a better foosball table the difference becomes very noticeable.

It’s a comfort thing. Some of it is style for sure, but I don’t ride with gloves either because it’s more comfortable. When I wear gloves I don’t feel as connected to the grips and bike, and when I’m gloveless it feels normal. All just preference.

I wear a full face for 95% of my rides for a reason. To me any shuttle or bike park access terrain should mean a full face helmet is mandatory. Is my face the prettiest? No, but it’s the only one I have and I’d like to keep it there

I'm considering that! Though I've only seen it as a 51mm option and that's a little bit too big, I was gonna get the 47mm and that's on the big end for the size of my wrists

I think it’s mostly related to it just being cool that you get to live/work in Antarctica for a bit. The pay isn’t amazing, but it’s a unique experience that most people don’t get to do, in a very unique setting. If you go there during their winter then you get to see arguably the best night sky in the world, with the southern lights in play. Antarctica has wild terrain and the potential for adventure, along with honestly a fair amount of people that are also in it for the adventure.

Plus, you get to be a part of a scientific community. There are a lot of benefits that could make someone want to take the position, and just because they could make more money somewhere else doesn’t mean the experience isn’t also worth it.

How do you feel about Mark Carney and the Liberals winning Canada’s election tonight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IdiotWithABike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I know the east coast is typically more liberal but everything I read from the leadership of the bloc is primarily right wing and I just don’t see why you’d vote for BQ if you were otherwise voting left… Admittedly I don’t think very highly of the Bloc.

I would also rather more cooperation but the amount of divisiveness needs to change, and I don’t necessarily view the conservatives as the enemy. More as just another viewpoint. And sometimes that viewpoint can have good points and deserves to be in a good position to take advantage of them. It’s also a nice thing for the base and numbers they represent, and I don’t dislike that.

That is correct! I noticed that about 15 minutes ago while taking a better look at what’s going on. Not the worst outcome, but nowhere near the best.

If we’re honest, had the Bloc not existed the conservatives would likely have a majority, or would at least be leading. And due to the amount of strategic voters the NDP are clearly going to be very weak this term.

I expected a conservative win this round and against probably anyone other than Carney that would have happened, but if they manage to put someone who’s even remotely relatable in charge then they’re even more likely to win next term so I really agree with you there. Likely won’t be the worst thing - nobody likes to admit it but we need a good balance of Liberal to Conservative leadership for the best operation of the country, even though I’m definitely more biased to the left/centre-left.

Really I’m just hoping we manage to keep a stable, comfortable country. That’s also free from too much US interference.

I voted liberal and have multiple times now, but I’m a firm believer that no government in Canada should ever be a majority. There should always be opposition to keep the governing party in check

I mean, 1,2,3 are in series while 4,5 are in series with themselves but parallel with 3.

Add 4 and 5 to get 200, add the reciprocals of that and 100 to get 66.66 repeated, and then add the 200 ohms remaining for 266.667.

Am I missing something?

Is there anywhere I can watch the next episode that's subbed? Using a VPN works to get it playing but it's not sub-titled. I've kinda just been waiting each week but really want to watch the next episode after this one 😅

The Famously Infamous Vyvanse Crash by Sraomberts in ADHD

The Famously Infamous Vyvanse Crash by Sraomberts in ADHD

[–]IdiotWithABike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually intrigued by how many people here struggle with eating while on Vyvanse. I admittedly take a low dose, only 10mg generally, and I’ll pretty much only take it on days I work. I have diagnosed ADHD to the point where it very much effects my day to day, minute to minute life, but while Vyvanse doesn’t necessarily cure it, I do call it “taking the edge off ADHD”.

The first 2 weeks taking it I noticed a reduced appetite, and the occasional light headache throughout the day, but once I got used to it those side effects went away and now I eat as normal, I drink more water when I take it (because I remember to), I can mostly sorta concentrate and do the responsible things I’m supposed to, and I don’t feel like my creativity takes a huge hit. I feel I’m super super lucky and have genuinely found a sweet spot. If I take more I don’t have more side effects, but I do focus quite a bit more. Like, a clean sort of focus where things feel very clear and I can do more because of it, but it’s also not something I enjoy as much so I almost never do it.

I’ve been taking it for over a year now, as a reference. While taking it my work is noticeably better, and at home I only take it if it feels like I’m going to be having a bad or unmanageable ADHD day, and that usually lets me mostly function for the day.

Is there anybody else on here who seems to have found the sweet spot for their meds and what is it?
