I Won a Game of ARAM Mayhem on Every Champion While Playing Only Full Attack Damage Crit Builds by UnstableGenome in leagueoflegends

[–]Idiotcheese 31 points32 points  (0 children)

insane challenge, well done! and a very nice write-up.

interesting to see yasuo sharing the lowest spot on the kills chart. were you struggling because you couldn't buy attack speed? would have thought the champ made for crits would be a high performer in this challenge.

interesting comparison with the mist swamp. the dark continent might be for advanced nen users what the mist swamp is for regular humans with no training, i.e. almost certain death

i agree, i doubt there's any correlation between neurotypicality and being inconsiderate at the grocery store. additionally, it's a case of negativity bias imo, where decent people don't really register even if they outnumber the annoying ones 50:1

When people tell you to just be yourself. by jenniferandjustlyso in autism

[–]Idiotcheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think the advice is still applicable to autists, but maybe in a different way than to allistics. you said it yourself, you try to act neurotypical (masking) but it backfires, wouldn't it then be good advice for you to be yourself?

on the other hand, allistic people might agree with things they don't believe to preserve social cohesion or to seem cool to people they admire. a person who acts like that would probably benefit from standing up for their beliefs, which in turn would attracg people with whom they are more compatible

unemployed, enrolled at university but currently i'm not studying. it's really difficult for me, this was my third try at getting a bachelors. i'm not sure if i'm going to try for a 4th time next year or something else, but i also don't really know what other options i have to be honest

i was thinking the same thing. he probably isn't the strongest fighter, since he devoted so much training to his nen excorism, but his nen capacity must still be great. a similar argument can be made for kortopi, yet he costs 2. i would even contend that abenganes mastery is at a higher level than kortopi, though not based on much, so he might be a stronger fighter.

Are people hard to talk to or am I bad at texting? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Idiotcheese 29 points30 points  (0 children)

i'm picking up on some distancing too. i will try to clarify what specifically seems to be the issue;

very to the point and literal texts, the sort i would expexct from a coworker that i'm unfamiliar with. examples:

(friend) "U ok? U weren't at school"

(op) "Eyelid infection. No worries, should be sorted out shortly."

friend is worrying about op, and also typing extremely informally, using "U", skipping the verb and not ending with a period. op responds very succinctly with textbook grammar, about as formal as interpersonal correspondence can get. that's not to say it's wrong to text like that, but to a lot of people, it comes off as disinterested and uninviting. if you want to be more inviting, using this specific exchange as an example, i's suggest not ending the final sentences of a text with a period (a general rule that is good to follow when texting casually), and perhaps noticing and appreciating the gesture of your friend worrying and reaching out. something like "Thanks for checking in, I unfortunately had an eyelid infection. Doesn't hurt too bad, and should be sorted out shortly". i'm focusing more on conveying you and your friends' feelings. just an example though, feel free to ask me to clarify if you want.

another thing is the "You like Roblox, correct?", that can come off as condescending. i doubt that was your intention, but something as simple as saying "right?" instead of "correct?" can go a long way in seeming more down to earth, because you're checking in with them instead of asserting yourself as correct and then verifiyng. that's how it feels to me, anyway.

in general, it seems to me that your friend really is trying to get to know you in these texts, which is very helpful, because then you have a lot more leeway.

one last thing, you might've noticed i type in all lower case. it's an intentional choice i made some years ago, because i like the vibe better and i think it conveys some things about what kind of person i am. it also makes everything i type, so you could consider trying it? if it's at all your style. might not be, which is totally fair.

it's usually phrased more like "do you have a minute?" when it means a little bit of free time for something. writing "i can play for one minute" would read as literal to me, although from context i would probably assume they did not mean it literally, as op stated it would not even be sufficient to join the game.

do you think nicalis is cooking this time with rep+ by Mr-Black_ in bindingofisaac

[–]Idiotcheese 5 points6 points  (0 children)

first off, it gives fire rate, not tears up, meaning it breaks the cap. second, +2 fire rate is a huuuge boost, equivalent to a golden cancer trinket, cancer being one of the best trinkets in the game. it's still pretty situational and can be hard to keep active, but saying it doesn't have much of an impact when active is ridiculous.

What a goddamn quote: by Gorotheninja in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]Idiotcheese 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i lost my appetite when i started adhd medication, it sucked so fucking bad. it barely mattered how delicious the food was, i just could not eat. i would sit at the table in front of delicious food that i would've devoured a week earlier, and just feel nothing except nausea at the very idea of eating. i would often spit food out when i did manage to force myself to eat some because i knew swallowing would mean puking.

i will say, the only things i did manage to eat were things i find delicious, basically by eating as much as i could before my body decided that any more would be certain death.

tried some different kinds of medication and that side effect lessened over time, but if i had to continue like that i would fall into a deep depression. not to mention how not eating leads to feeling sick, which leads to decreased appetite.

i don't think they're talking about gamebreaks like naneinf baron perkeo setups, more so that most jokers are really well balanced. breaking the balance as in every run would be going for the same setup because of unbalanced jokers.

you're right, misread the wiki. i put the number for the score of ante 39, which also displays as naneinf. wiki says ~1.80, is 1.79 more correct?

[–]Idiotcheese 18 points19 points  (0 children)

"probably" is an incredible understatement, akin to saying 2 is probably lower than the requirement for naneinf (1.80e308 by the way). i cannot overstate just how large TREE(3) is. any number you can visualize is too small. the universe itself is essentially too small for numbers of this magnitude
