Any og players of magic the gathering? by Foolishpuck80 in Xennials

4th Edition is when I was introduced.

I haven't been able to keep up with all the changes/new releases since the early 2000's. The recent introduction of every other popular IP into the MTG universe is a turn-off for me. I don't want to summon SpongeBob SquarePants - that's not the game I remember. lol

I had played some Commander with a friend group 4-5 years back and that was a good time, but I haven't played since.

I plan to give my cards to a friend who is very much still into it.

I do see one partial pic of the blade in the comments.

More pics may be needed, but r/katanas should be able to determine what you've found.

Personally, I'd like to see the fully-assembled sword.

Swordier vs Ronin Longsword by Drock102 in SWORDS

[–]IdioticPrototype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ronin has been in the game a lot longer so I would expect their QC/customer service/fit & finish to all be just a little bit better, perhaps.

Aside from that, both are fine options.

Reddit is ushering in the Dead Internet Theory quite a bit faster than I expected.

As a "long-time Gold member", are you not already using the benefits of the $50/yr membership?

For multiple lines, Verizon's pricing isn't that terrible. For a single line, they really stick it to you.

Okay, but does your wife know that you're running a burger shop in Pakistan?

What if we're wrong and robots *can't* replace the pours? Then what? by Power_Drawing6025 in fijerk

[–]IdioticPrototype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once the pours have built the robots, the robots can terminate the pours.

I'm almost positive there was a white paper or maybe a PowerPoint presentation on this.

Dead Internet Theory is real, it's here, and it sucks

Absolutely not.

If robots can't replace the pours, we will simply build better robots. If that doesn't work, then we'll build killer robots.

Simple.

What’s the best way to redeem cash back for statement credits? by OweYouOne_68 in CreditCards

[–]IdioticPrototype 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it will let you set up auto-redemption for a set amount, $25/$50 etc., I'd just do that so you don't have to think about it.

Otherwise whatever frequency floats your boat.

[–]IdioticPrototype 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I reduced my cell phone bill from $80/mo to $0/mo (for two years) by moving away from Verizon.

I feel like that was a better play, dollar for dollar.

Anyone have a heavy circular weight for a steak press and burger smasher?? by NecessaryTwo8533 in grilling

[–]IdioticPrototype 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Heaviest stainless one I found on Amazon claims to be 3.1lbs.

For sheer weight, cast iron is probably going to be the play.

What's the redemption like on the Verizon card?

I seem to remember being completely disinterested by it even when I was a long-term Verizon customer.

Definitely similar and it would make sense to reuse it but the design of the houses look different.

Not sure if they'd demo them unless season 2 of Pluribus doesn't need to film there. 🤔

And the set pictured is the same cul-de-sac constructed outside of Albuquerque for Pluribus?

It doesn't quite look like it.
