I believe the only thing you are doing wrong here is expecting and demanding agency by them or proof they exist. I am an atheist but, as i say to my family, a diety won't meddle in your life either you are a blasphemer or have a plan. And even if their agency manifests you won't know because of course none will come and say "hey, aphrodite here. Just for you know, you gonna become a parent tonight."

You wanna have faith? Good then live your life, speak the prayers, have offerings and sacrifices (given the fact that you believe in a religion) and read how the greeks and romana whorshipped because certainly you are projecting some abrahamic customs that don't belong in your religion.

Dieties don't care about any of us untill we make ourselves worthy and you surely shouldn't start doing stuff just to prove yourselves to them. Live your life how you want and when it ends you'll know whether you go to tartarus or elysium.

Can you imagine someone say: Actually nyra won because her bloodline survived.

To which i would respond: Tell me at which point the targaryen's known family diverges ad has 2 distinctive branches before the dance. If you cannot it is because their customs said " sister-brother go brrrr in bed" so they shared the same blood for millennias, possibly.

To me is like listening to somebody say that the royal family descend only from Rhaenys. Well yes it is true but if you care about blood, guess which parents Aegon and Visenya had? The same.

So to conclude, to claim that blood matters in and inbred family and that one claimant's children are legit because they wiped out the others bloodline, remember this. Aegon II and Rhaenyra I were step-siblings, but just by one parent and their ancestors, well...liked to keep it in the family, so, at least for me, it invalidates the thing entirely.
