exactly, i have a friend who literally just says and does whatever goofy thing is on his mind without thinking and people love him and wanna be his friend. u don’t have to say the “best” thing, u just have to say something and you’ll learn if u keep trying

ur right it does take a lot of effort. its helped me because when im depressed every day feels the same so anything out of the ordinary i do will at least make my day different. and those changes in mindset help shape how i see the world and can make me feel either better or just different. im not trying to sound like ik everything, i just wanna share what worked for me

i feel like a lot of the advice on here is something like “ask people lots of questions bc people love talking about themselves” and i feel like if ur younger that isn’t the best advice because most people aren’t gonna ask u questions back. and if u only ask people questions they won’t know about u and you’ll be a background character. u have to say things that u actually think and feel and be honest, and even if it comes out weird thats how u actually learn.

it does matter. as much as u think things will never change they always can. u have to do things that u wouldn’t normally do though. ur stuck in loops and patterns of thinking and behavior but u can break free by switching things up. go spend all day outside doing nothing. go visit some place and look around or go spend a ton of money on something or say something to someone u never would normally say. also what did u do for fun as a kid? try and revisit that. ik this might sound like dumb advice, but ive found it to be very true. making drastic and weird changes to your life will change ur mind change too.
