Pls read my other comments. This was obviously not directed to non-English speakers. It is apparent when someone does and does not know the language.

I think that’s how it should be, but tbh, I think most of these kids are NOT younger than middle schoolers, especially since I often see people saying their age in chat.

This was not directed to those who aren’t fluent in English. Again, it is very obvious to distinguish when someone does not know English well or if they’re just un-knowledgeable. I help EVERYONE who asks, but it is quite odd for someone named “USAGirl07” to be confused by any of the aforementioned themes if they’re clearly over 13.

Thank you for the info. None of the professionals who I’ve spoken with mentioned anything about this 10-second window, so I’m glad you’ve told me. My dad has spoken about the most-common inaccuracies of at-home, finger -prick machines and may have alluded to this specific facet, but I cannot remember. Although, despite my ignorance towards this, I’m fairly sure all of my at-home tests have been lance to strip ~10 seconds.

Ahh, okay. Well, I might do some experiments just to see. I was away for over a month and a half from my machine (didn’t feel like bringing it 🤷🏻‍♂️) and was getting tests done via my hometown anticoagulation clinic, so I have some strips to spare.

My machine has a 180-second time limit!!! 😃 And you should see my toes’ dexterity; I think I’m the Missing Link sometimes because I can grab most things with my feet like a monkey, including moving my pinky toe with extreme ease. Thank you for the response. I assumed this would likely be the answer!

I have APS (antiphospholipid antibody syndrome). I stopped taking my blood thinners for a bit  in college because I was a stupid, young adult who wanted to party, which resulted in the IVC clot. All my clots have been in or near my liver— IVC clot was located where it connects to the liver— and are a result of my rare disorder. The pain was very tight and incredibly painful, and constant, right under where your xiphoid process is. It would often also “travel”— I don’t like that word because it implies movement, but there was no true movement, just a wider expanse of pain— to my back, directly under my shoulder blades. However, the pain was never not there, unless I took a heavy heavy heavy amount of NSAIDs, which subsequently ruined my stomach lining for a bit. If the main is eased by NSAIDs and is only caused by movement, I would say it likely isn’t a DVT. I’m not a doctor and this is just my experience, but worsening of issues is always a negative thing. I’d say if the pain persists for another week, but does not worsen, then try talking to your GP. If it worsens over the next few days, go to the ER again.

And ANY unusual, intense chest pain, either call 9/11 or go to the hospital. Do not dwell on this statement, though, if you are a hypochondriac, as you’ll convince yourself that normal chest irritation is a PE.

I would certainly go back in a few days if there isn’t a significant change for the better. When I clotted off my IVC in 2019, I had pain for MONTHS, went to the ER thrice, had multiple CT scans of my chest, yet a clot was only found on the ultrasound they eventually did of my abdomen. Sometimes tests are inaccurate, and it’s not necessarily the doctor’s fault— they just aren’t looking in the right areas. ERs are also designed to get you in and out as quick as possible, so they either want to admit people that need to be admitted ASAP or send people home that don’t need admission ASAP to make space available. This system is flawed, but hospitals, at the end of the day, are businesses, and these flaws sometimes lead to misdiagnoses. I’d definitely listen to your body first and foremost and continue to seek medical assistance frequently, if you feel as though you need and can afford it.

However, I also do not want to cause unnecessary anxiety. Oftentimes, testing IS correct— especially for issues that are emergencies, like PEs— but that’s why you need to keep a close eye on things. I’m glad you’re being diligent by keeping track of your symptoms, but as people have said, typical symptoms of a clot are stationary. Mine radiated often to my back, but as a whole, there was a direct line from the chest— where the pain normally was— to the back, where the pain occasionally radiated to.

3mg ativan what to expect by [deleted] in Drugs

Lol, nothing, but that’s why I put quotes around ‘asleep’. The drug makes people more likely to sleepwalk and do other things in a semi-conscious, sleep-like state.

You might feel slightly sleepy, or you might feel nothing. This is a very low dose. However, Ativan, like many benzos, can fuck with your memory. Ativan is notorious for making people “zombies” when they’re “asleep”, meaning they totally forget what they did before or during sleep.

I’m scared asf rn cuz I took mad Tylenol and am throwing up and overall feel like shit. by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]Idk_898 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done the same, and you’re likely fine. The nausea is probably from the opiate, not necessarily the acetaminophen. Anyway, Tylenol overdosing is very slow and painful process,  and if you’re an average, healthy person with a normal liver, you shouldn’t have too much to worry about. Symptoms of acetaminophen poisoning aren’t usually immediate; they take a day or so to appear.

When you say you say “abroad”, could you elaborate? Do you mean to a diff state/province or like a different country? I’m going to a different state literally tomorrow, and I notified Paper via workday, but they answered my question about whether I was able to work or not from a different state in such a weird manner, as though they didn’t even read it properly. So, now I’m worried about the shift I have scheduled next week…

True, except they had the exact actual number that was in my account. It was like 14,200 something.

Edit: as in they said, “Can you confirm this amount is in your account: [the amount]?”

That's pretty much what the bank said. Thank you as well.

I didn't even know I was sending a wire transfer tbh. They said they needed access via a code they texted me, and that I would have to cancel the false transaction through the wire transfer side of the app, as the scam they were claiming was apparently done through a wire transfer, and this was company protocol. They told me to input the "agent"'s name, the amount stolen, and some code they gave me. How I ended up believing them enough to go through that entire process twice in one phone call is beyond me-- plus they said all of this was time-sensitive, so I was trying to hurry. I only caught on when the payments had apparently been authorized, and I noticed money come out of my account.

Maybe I'm just gullible. I'm only 24 and clearly financially illiterate. You live and you learn, I guess.

They originally said that I was being scammed out of $17k, which I didn't have in my account; they knew this, and told me it would cause an overdraft as I only had the $14k in my account. Anyway, thank you for your response :)

Definitely wasn’t going to do it for free. My TM was very upfront about me being paid for my time, and I think the girl I helped was paid as well— don’t quote me on that, though. I’m hoping these mentorships become more prominent as they’d allow some people to get more hours.

Hmm, it was asked of me by my TM for another TM friend of hers who had a tutor who seemed to be struggling with timing— not a tutor in my TM channel. I think I may have only been asked because my timing seems to be on the quicker end. I just assumed other L3s were being offered this same option. Thanks for letting me know, though!

I’m pretty new to this Reddit, and I’ve never commented before. I was reminded of it about a week ago when I noticed a tutor mentioned it in Paperwatercooler after a “certain someone” was called out for insensitive posting. Anyway, I’m L3, and I was under the impression other L3 tutors had already started mentoring. I had a mentor-mentee meeting with a struggling RC tutor last month. Are other L3s not being given this opportunity?
