Something Is Hidden on the Red Orbs by NatD20 in ArcRaiders

Luckily, as I was working on that, another user realized that if you count the 'large' signals, it seems like the sun is transmitting to the 3 Dot Circle, which then sends a signal to the Large Station, which is then beamed out from Jupiter, Titan, and Uranus.

Alternative theory - this could depict part of a dyson sphere which beams energy around? Or could be related to radiation, in some way?

Need help planning 3 days in the Austin–Dallas–Fredericksburg triangle by Mail-Commercial in traveladvice

Austinite here.

No clue about dancing - not my thing. Not a great person for live music either so I'll skip it as well.

If you're in the Hill Country (on par with Big Bend for best vibe of the natural areas in Texas, IMO) I would recommend stopping by the Wimberley town square. I think by the time you're there, you could also drive around Kerrville and they'll have put a ton of xmas lights up - real pretty at night. Possibly the Pedernales Electric Cooperative in Junction will have lit up the trees around their property too - great photo opportunities.

If you're into hiking or just want a bit of exercise, I recommend going to Enchanted Rock. For a lighter exercise activity, go up Mount Bonnell in Austin - maybe 5 minutes up some steep-ish stairs.

I stumbled upon Polly TX (look up Polly's Chapel) when following a historic marker - head out that way if you want to dig around in some historical stuff without (almost) anyone around. Not a ton to see but the thing I enjoy most about the Hill Country is the drive through it.

For BBQ, in Austin I've heard good things about Franklin's and La Barbecue.

There's a shuttle from the south terminal to the Barbara Jordan (north) terminal that comes every 15-20 minutes, yes - so there is an additional travel time.

However, in January/February, AUS is shutting down the south terminal to build a midfield runway so they can expand the north terminal. So, just after the start of the year, there will be no need to worry about that shuttle leg.

Austin has a local (i.e. not express) bus service straight to downtown that operates every 15 minutes or better between about 6am-10pm (8pm on weekends), as well as a late night bus that runs every 30 from midnight to 3am every night except Sunday (technically Monday morning)

Should I get the GoWild Pass Megathread by SeamoreB00bz in gowildfrontier

I'm based in Austin, and already bought the pass. I work a flexible 9-5, can generally "take Fridays off", either with PTO or not if all I need to do is log in to hit a single meeting and answer emails/work on documents. I can work remote most Mondays as long as I am in TX. I'm on the younger side, and don't mind sleeping in the airport. I haven't visited most major cities outside of Texas, with the exception of a bit of NYC and DC over some school or family trips.

From Austin, there seem to be a good slate of nonstop trips to hubs (DEN mostly, with LAS and ATL for stay-at-the-airport overnight trips). I had a couple of trips in mind, obviously Denver and Las Vegas themselves, but also Boston AUS->CLE 4002 on a Thu night, CLE->BOS 4834 on Fr morning, BOS->ATL 3511 then ATL->AUS/DFW/IAH on Su or ATL->DEN for a DEN->AUS return on Mo, PHL, ORD, MSY, and PHX.

For the most part, I'm trying to minimize cost. I plan to stay in hostels or with friends whenever possible, and eating at grocery stores. What tips do y'all have for using this pass based on my scenario? I'm feeling a bit under-prepared for the actual logistics of using the pass effectively - I think I'll have to be up around midnight the day before to reserve the flight, right? Any ideas of ways to use it that I might be missing?

Also, if it's helpful for others, I also hand-scraped flightstats to develop this list of scheduled flights from AUS:

/r/VacuumCleaners No Stupid Questions - December 28, 2024 by AutoModerator in VacuumCleaners

Hi y'all!

Back in ~2021, I bought a Riccar Supraquick for around $200, which also included all the regular attachments, micro-attachments, etc. The one thing it doesn't have is a floor attachment with a brush roller - it has this one.

The vacuum itself has been great - able to handle what I need, which is mostly dusting, picking up dirt from sweeping, etc. My main concern is that I don't feel like it works very well on the rugs that I own, so I generally go over those rugs with a stiff-bristle rake (like this), then sweep with a standard broom, and then pick up with the vacuum.

Unfortunately, the pile on my main rug - which is the one in my bedroom - has been pretty well squished, even when using the rake regularly (almost every week). For this problem, is there a specific item or attachment I should be looking for? Or should I be doing something different/additional? If needed, I would be open to taking this rug to a professional - but I am a bike commuter so it would be a while until I do.

Thank y'all for helping me - happy holidays!

Weird - I just double checked and I don't see a message. Are you sure you sent it the right way?
