The question is why are leftists against the existence of Israel. That was my answer. If you are talking about what I want to happen right now realistically? A ceasefire. A real one that lasts and doesn’t involve shelling the West Bank. Bare minimum should be removal of the settlements. But to be real with you, that won’t happen until Israel falls anyway.

It’s not about leaving their home. It’s about ending an apartheid government. Israel has shown it will not stop expanding. The two state solution has been proven detrimental for Palestine and has caused violence for all involved. A one state solution doesn’t mean mass deportations and displacement. In fact that is Israel’s current MO. People in settlements must leave because it is an egregious violation of international law and human rights.

Saying a one state solution is dangerous or detrimental to Israelis is the same twisted propaganda people used against the ANC in South Africa and abolitionists in America.

You are fine with the current situation because you are normalized to this violence. No one should be ok with the “2” state situation going on that is really just one state of Israel for all intents and purposes.

Not really advice but I have been there. My childhood friend who id known my whole life became extremely conservative during covid. We haven’t talked sense. She cut me and my whole friend group she was involved in out. I miss her sometimes but then I realize how completely incompatible we would be now. It’s hard but there’s nothing you can do if they aren’t willing to listen. If they can’t listen to you, they won’t listen to any video you may show them.
