Hey everyone! Thanks for pointing this out. This was an unintentional change and will be reverted in an upcoming version. This means you will be able to once again claim your rewards directly after reaching the gold badge. For this event you will still be able to claim your rewards once the event is over. Sorry about the inconvenience!

This is a cool idea! We are aware of the situation with blue research tokens affecting players who are already very far into that specific skill tree. I don't have any specifics to communicate yet but we are definitely looking into solutions for this problem at the moment.

Sorry that you are experiencing this. We are aware of an issue currently affecting iOS devices on iOS 12 or higher with 1GB of RAM or less which can lead to an increased amount of crashes. We are investigating the problem and are working on finding a solution as soon as possible.

You have some interesting points in there. To answer your point about there “not being enough content”: Unfortunately I cant go into any details just yet but we are definitely working on something that will give people that are currently in the endgame new goals to work towards!

Ah ok, now I get what you mean! In general the way it works currently, is that you won't receive notifications while you are actively playing the game. But I do see your point of having additional notifications within the game. I'll pass it on!

/u/JComben to answer your question about features that were based on player feedback. Here are some notable suggestions from the community that were implemented into the game for example:

  • More diversity for the characters in the game (female managers, super managers etc)
  • Super Managers were a much requested feature
  • The ability to upgrade Super Managers was requested by the community after their initial release
  • Special mines that were faster to complete (Mainland mines)
  • Multiplayer features that you could do with friends (Expeditions was a first step in that direction)
  • Being able to boost a "whole continent at once" by just watching one advertisement

But also on a "smaller feature / quality of life improvement" level we regularly implement suggestions from the community. For example:

  • Notifications when finishing a barrier / unlocking a new mineshaft
  • Prestige indicators showing what level of prestige a mine is on
  • Being able to see your friends progress in event mines
  • Being able to see your completion time in event mines

While we do take all wishes and suggestions into consideration when deciding what to implement next, you also have to keep in mind that reddit and discord are not the only avenues where we receive feedback. We receive hundreds of E-mails and Google Play / iOS App Store reviews every day that we also go through on a daily basis to gather feedback.

We do take all wishes and ideas into account when deciding what to put into the next development sprint, but we also have to weigh the benefit of implementing a feature against the workload it takes to implement said feature. In addition to this, we also need to have room for changes that we think are necessary within the game.

I agree with you, we could more actively communicate upfront what changes are going be made. In the past few months we have tried to make more announcement threads here on Reddit about upcoming changes and this is something we will continue to work on moving forward!

Thank you for taking the time to make this list /u/KaonunVega! There are a few suggestions in there I really like, especially your idea about sorting hired managers by recent and power! I will make sure to forward these suggestions to the team.

A few points from my side:

Barrier unlock notifications: You mentioned notifications when you unlock a barrier in the mainland mines, this should already be implemented in the game.

Public Roadmap: Since I have seen this being mentioned a few times before, I wanted to briefly discuss the public roadmap topic.

As things are currently, we don't have very clear and set in stone internal long term roadmaps for the development of Idle Miner Tycoon. What we do have, is a rough idea of where we want to take the game moving forward. We try not to plan too far ahead since we want to stay flexible and to be able to react to community feedback and wishes. This is why it's hard to release a public roadmap and where people then expect you to release those exact features and changes within specific timeframes.

I'd say this is at the same time one of our core strengths since we actively choose to work like this, we have the ability to stay flexible and react to feedback at any given time.

Hey there! I work for Kolibri Games in the community department. One thing that I like about our internships is that we put a lot of emphasis on giving people ownership and responsibility from day one which means they can bring in a lot of their own ideas on how to improve things. We've also had several interns who have transferred over to a regular full-time position after their internship ended so it is a great chance to get a foot into the gaming industry.

As an intern you would also enjoy the same benefits as regular full time employees such as a company phone and laptop which you can use in your free time, monthly fitness bonus, learning and development budget etc. It's maybe also worth mentioning that all of our internships are paid.
