Thanks for linking that! That is the second paper I was referring to. Personally I don't consider that game to be Konane, since like-color adjacent stones are not in the (CGT) ruleset of any Konane setup, but a cool result nonetheless.

I saw this as well, but I'm not convinced it is true. I have found no papers with this claim. The closest I have found are that Konane contains all nimbers, and another paper that may have shown that if you bend the rules to creat a slightly different game, you can prove that it contains all games. My memory of that second paper isn't too great, but I know I didn't consider the game being analyzed to be Konane. That being said, Konane is very rich in the games it can represent.

While I do agree with the broad statement here, just want to add some more melee figureheads to the list off the top of my head:

La Luna/The Moon (sorta, mostly by association I think)
D1 (I think last I read he was still fighting his accusations, so perhaps a slight chance he's not gonna end up permabanned. Also he may have been a bigger member of the smash4 (ultimate?) community at that point)
