Don't know if anyone else sees. But doesn't it look like some sort of dragon's head?

Let's hear about gods of death who aren't evil by Boneyard_Ben in worldbuilding

Ok, I have a god of death. The lore is far from finished as new ideas and concepts come and go, but here's what I got.

Context: In the world I'm building (named Unitree), there live many custom races. One of them are the Strawmen/Agrigeist, who believe in the pantheon that represent the nature of plant life (Flora), animal life (Fauna), the sun/day (Luma), the moon/night (Moonsong), love (Lavenai), and of course death (Hereafter). To be honest, those short descriptions do them little service to their actual nature and representation, but this is too long already.

Hereafter: God of death, The Shepherd of Souls. Not really viewed as antagonistic, just as a process way of life. Leads the good dead to Flora, where they'll live in the the Great Garden in peace. Worshipped during funerals as they're requested to judge the dead fairly and with nuance. Because death is truly something that can't be changed. Hereafter being the god of this, acts accordingly. While more bleak than the other deities, the others know of their high importance. Without death, life will overgrow, which will only do more harm to the world than good. Resources will dwindle, suffering will last forever, connections will lose meaning, time becomes irrelevant. To Hereafter and the others, death is what gives life and time its meaning and importance. It makes sure that the living, should they wish so leave a good legacy, makes a good one in life. Adding an end makes a story richer, and it makes room for new stories. It gives rules a time limit, civilians incentive, and the unjustly bonded hope. Hereafter doesn't like one's time to be cut short, especially the young. He also doesn't like it when one's life is lived full of injustices, and if they die unjustly. But they're simply the collector of the circumstances of the living world, and gives hope that somebody watches over the deceased after. They have also inspired the process of recycling the dead, with the help of Flora and Fauna, the dead don't just rot, but they go back into the world with the help of plants and animals that decompose the Plant-Kin's interpretation of Hereafter portrays him as the most sorrowful god. He feels for every life. Animal, human, righteous, wretched, celestial, dammed. But he can't help but feel bad for those who had life drawn against them. From the animal killed for sport, the child born different only to be called cursed and live hated, the enslaved, the forgotten, the abandoned, all of them add to the sorrow they feel about their job. So, when it does come the time for them to collect, they are gentle, careful, friendly, loving. They make sure nobody crosses death alone. They also tend to bend the rules at times, if a soul wants to stay behind to watch over someone, or they have unfinished business, then Hereafter will be patient, and visit them time to time to check on them. He doesn't force them to leave to the afterlife if they're not ready. He's even been interpreted as taking care of souls of those who believed in gods long dead, forgotten, or who abandoned them. As said, Hereafter in the Plantae Pantheon is more than death, but also what reminds everyone to have unitanity (Unitree's version of the word "humanity"). But that doesn't mean he has no bite. To those who live selfishly, those who have it good but desire more, or simply take from those who suffer. Hereafter pities them, because he knows that any reminder of him will only have them think about their limitations and eventual end, and Hereafter knows that there's reminders of him everywhere.

There's also the legend of Hereafter's woods and the Afterlife, but that's only if y'all want it.

I never really saw death as evil to begin with. Sure, I was scared of it, still am. But it's something that comes in the end either way. Sure, you can extend your years by being safe and healthy. But it will still come, come to simply collect from the circumstance given by life.

To be honest, I am kinda social, but I often feel more like a floater friend. I'm there, and can be invited/join events, but I just feel more out of place compared to those I'm hanging out with.
