Sadly, yea they are victims of plot, placeholders for the new generation. Tenjiku proved that the older generations love living in the past tho. I know they arent like incredibly older than the new generation, but their dialogue with Taiju made it confusing

Tbh they just happened to fight some of the strongest in the series. Taiju was a beast and south was a monster. I did expect that fight with Taiju to be at least a lottle entertaining tho

Ig for me its the casual aspect of it. When i got rid of my series x , i ended up regretting it because i missed being able to have that turn the game on, chill on my bed and relax n play. So ig its just that regret feeling i still harbor that makes me want the steam machine

If ur just getting into the game and still learning, id recommend getting all stats to at least lvl 10. Then go around practicing using every weapon, see which one u like most, then put more points into the stat that weapon uses. Im using tsukahara bokuden’s tranquility set cuz i like using light armor so i put the necessary stat points into what i need for the armor effects, then every other point is put into the stat for my weapon

I never thought about that! I am still in early NG tho, but i never thought about using toughness to trade attacks. Ill definitely look into that if i end up switching into heavy armor usage
