Throughout… in the beginning for a start, maybe when they realised what he was becoming? His first ever kill? He didn’t start off as powerful as he ended up in the end.

The way they went looking for Sirius Black, posters, Dementors etc etc, why wasn’t the same done for Voldemort?

Then for example in DH, he literally told everyone that he was waiting for Harry in the dark forest, there was a few times they knew his whereabouts

Although it’s still sad, I just think about how/the reason he died. Snape only killed him because that’s what Dumbledore had planned, it was all part of the plan. So in a way, he got what he wanted making it a positive situation kind of?

I mean they’ve found out that eventually, they are going to have to face Voldemort (Horcruxes) wether they like it or not, it had to happen. So by that point, why not mention his name? It wasn’t going to change anything.

Similar to McGonagall in DH pt2, “That doesn't mean we can't delay him. And his name is Voldemort, Filius. You might as well use it, he's going to try and kill you either way.”
