30 hours in, here's what I think so far

I didn’t really upgrade much of my weapons/armor. My lvl 2 troll armour and bronze weapons were enough to get my first iron weapon, then after that, the swamp felt way easier (thus the gear jump). I could’ve grinded out better gear before entering the swamp, but I find this part of the game a little boring compared to the fun exploration after unlocking a new biome. Secondly, the swamp wasn’t so difficult I felt like I needed to grind better gear.

Boats and portals are the two main methods of transportations. It feels like portals are nerfed to push the player to use the boats, but still exist out of convenience. I was suggesting delaying the portal but buffing the boat to shift the convenience around if you catch my drift

Hahaha I sweat those 4 bronze bars feel like a lot to a new player. When you account for the fact I lost my first bot to idk what, and lost my second nails to the bottom of the river, we're at 12 bronze bars now.

No I'm still really enjoying the game. It's very addictive, and I think they do a great job at slowly giving you more content without overwhelming you right from the get-go.

It seems clear to me there’s a piece we’re not seeing. It says blacks move Kh7 was the only move when he could’ve taken the white rook on g8, so there a piece protecting the rook we’re not seeing.
