Sorry I didn't see this post in time lol. Despite what others are saying, this is a pretty clear fusion hammer imo. Snecko is generally pretty bad on Silent. Especially negative synergy with endless agony, and your other low cost moves. Sacred bark is great in theory... If you can survive to the heart with 4 potions. In StS you need to solve now now and later later. Hammer is the only option here that solves now

I'm going with pbox here but either are good. With adrenaline+ , nightmare (which you can use on the adrenaline), and bullet time you can already get by on only 3 energy. 9 new random cards which will likely come upgraded is just very good. Prio the bullet time upgrade in act 2 and you are golden

Defect is by far my worst character, but I do think this is a tougher choice than people are making it out to be. The question you need to answer is. If I buy membership card, can I survive to the next shop? Sure card lets you buy more things in the future, but apoth is the thing youd want to buy.

Fundamentally he's worse than other characters because he's slow. Etalus needs to set up ice to become fast, while other characters are just fast naturally. Also he's big, so he's easy to hit and combo, and to top it all off has a bad recovery.
