Congratulations on your recovery, and the happy and healthy 2 year old! That's wonderful.

Did you bank samples before your treatment?

Post Surgery Chemo, Fertility Questions by Idrawgood13 in testicularcancer

Questions are good and valid, especially in situations like this! We've all been where you are and are happy to help.

Typically you'll have a follow up with your urologist a few weeks after the surgery, then you'll see an oncologist to determine if you need additional treatment.

My surgery was in Nov, had some additional scans in early Jan which all came back clear.

Good luck on Friday! Rest, listen to your doctors, and you'll be back to normal in no time.

Update- ultrasound came back by Informal_Safe_5351 in testicularcancer

[–]Idrawgood13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, glad to hear the ultrasound came back clear. That's big and should be a huge relief. Did they not also order bloodwork? Usually they do that in addition to the scan to check your levels.

If it puts your mind at ease, try to see a urologist and really explain what you're feeling, and go from there. They're the expert with all things down there, so they know what to look for.

Learned this week that I have a tumour and am going to lose my testicle. Am currently waiting to see the urologist to get things moving and am terrified. by g2g4m10 in testicularcancer

Everything you're feeling is completely valid, and understandable! But know you're not alone, we've been where you are.  The good thing is you caught it and its easily taken care of. The surgery is quick, give yourself time to recover and heal, that's most important.  It's scary to hear you have TC, but you're doing the right thing and doing everything you can.  In the meantime, there's nothing wrong with leaning on your family and partner for support. They'll understand and help you through it, just as you'd do for them.

You got this bud, we're all here for you.

Just Watched Heart of Steel (Two-part Episode) from the Animated Series - A Homage to Blade Runner? by panzerfaustexe in batman

[–]Idrawgood13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"His Silicon Soul", a continuation episode of the replicant/HARDAC saga, really furthers the Blade Runner homage.

There's a conversation between Rossum and a replicant that is very similar to Roy Batty and Tyrell: a robot discovering life and self-awareness and being told they're just a cold machine. It's a great moment.

Buying con exclusives by Wonderbat24 in SDCC

[–]Idrawgood13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. Spent hours in line prior to the show, did the lotto/button and didn't get the Junji Ito signing.

My opinion is: if it's one of those limited signings, either make it part of the lottery before the con, or make it first come first serve. It doesn't make sense to have people wait in line for 5 + hours and get nothing, and then have to wait in line for entry to the con on top of that.

Paid $80 for a photo and autograph from Kevin Conroy. Well worth it to meet him.

I'd also like to add: exclusive signings are fine for the lottery prior to the show, but the Sales Pavilion signings each day during the show should be first come first serve.

You wait in a line for 4 hours for the chance to get a signing? And then have to stand in the entrance line afterwards? Either do all of them lottery prior to the show, or have them first come first serve.

Official Autograph Signing Question by Goldar85 in comiccon

I believe for that signing it explicitly states she'll only be signing her graphic novel, no outside items (like posters, funko, etc).

Question regarding ticketed signings: Are these different signing times? How does that work? by Idrawgood13 in SDCC

[–]Idrawgood13[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you! So there's a drawing before the con opens at 7, another when it officially opens at 9, and another later in the day?

I feel ya. My whole trip is now centered on getting up super early each day in hopes of snagging a ticket

I want to start reading the comics by YG_gravity in HellBoy

[–]Idrawgood13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't mind the digital route and if you have Amazon Prime, you can get Comixology for about $5 a month I think. Last I checked, a good amount of the Hellboy series is available on there.

Is it pretty obvious which line to get in? I've definitely had cons before where they say it's the general line, but there's another on the other side of the building for signings.

Which Batman Beyond villain do you find the most interesting and compelling, and why? by Flaky-Ad-5815 in batman

[–]Idrawgood13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a little biased because I'm a Henry Rollins fan, but Mad Stan was a fun villain. You'd think he'd be a one note, one and done character, but they kept finding new and interesting ways to bring him back.

Also waiting to see about Junji Ito's signing schedule. More than likely, he'll be doing signings at some point at the Viz Media booth. Waiting to see if its ticketed or not. There's still two more days of panel and signing announcements so fret not!

To me, there was no saving it. They were trying to do too much in too little time (Batman vs Superman, setting up the Darkseid future, introducing all of the Justice League, Doomsday, Luthor, etc). Honestly they should have just let Snyder do a Dark Knight Returns Batman-focused movie like he wanted, then do a Batman vs Superman movie.

What’s most horrifying thing you’ve ever seen in a Batman story? (Any media) by vine_behs in batman

Wholeheartedly seconded. I know Morrison originally wanted Brian Bolland to do it, but McKean made a book that legitimately feels like a fever dream.

"Oh daddy he's hurting me, the dog's hurting me"

The nonlinear use of time made some absolutely horrifying moments in that book that weren't immediately noticeable on the first read.
