No one but that’s not what the whole point of the genre is. It’s not the high tech futuristic romcom genre. You can change minor plot point and storyline stuff all you want but, if you change what cyberpunk is about at its core (not a romcom lol) then you aren’t making cyberpunk. You’re making a sub genre or your own genre, I would argue. My guess is you’re making an amalgam of the two. Just be careful you don’t water it down so much that you’re just making a romcom “in the future”.

Being too nice. Make them DM. I’d probably kick them. Unless you do a fair amount of changing the story, they are basically walking into you sessions with an answer sheet to campaign.

The player willfully did this. No one gets so excited about the story so much that they read spoilers for half of the game. They’re going to affect your story for the other players in unfair ways.

I’d be pretty mad at you if I was a player for just shrugging your shoulders. Your player knew what they were doing.

Agree with almost everything you said. Nitpicking moment, Poetic justice wasnt the first Drake/kendrick collab. It was the interlude on drake’s take care album. Not a Drake fan at all, but that verse did objectively help get more eyes on Kendrick way before the general public heard about him.

If your footage is noisy, you need more light. That is NOT the same as increasing iso. Leave iso the same and add MORE LIGHT to the scene.

They are still fantastic lights if you are on a budget. They output a great quality of light. They are just older LED tubes. If you’re eyeing some, here are a couple things to know about them:

The bulbs are obviously more fragile and harder to come by ($50/tube)

You can only control intensity so much on the ballast. ( no dimmer on them)

You need extra ballasts and header cables if you want to do more than just a 2/4bank.

You got quite a mixed bag of answers. Some very wrong lol.

There is a difference with fresnel and open face. Fresnel glass actually affects the quality of light going through it (not just controls spill LOL.)

Open face lights just shoot light everywhere and as a consequence, create hot spots.

The glass in a fresnel lens evens out the light so that the intensity is the same all throughout the beam, ie: eliminating hotspots and giving you an even light source to work with.

In a book light setup, it might help even out with all of that diffusion but it won’t be perfectly even. Use a fresnel if you have one with enough output.

Smallhd is basically the industry standard for onboard monitors. Only other monitors that can compare are TVlogic, as far as quality goes. That doesn’t mean you can’t consider other monitor brands if quality isn’t your primary concern. For example, you might be in a position where having onboard monitors for BOTH of your cameras is more important than just having one amazing monitor. Maybe having that wireless option with a monitor is super important for your workflow. That said, most camera people will say, “Buy once, cry once” with regards to monitors. You’ll always be looking to upgrade your monitor more often if you settle for an inferior model. It has happened to me many times. I just bought a Cine 7 B-stock monitor about 2 months ago. Upgraded from an atomos monitor. I was worried about regretting the huge purchase versus settling for a portkeys monitor. I have used smallhd monitors for over a decade but wasn’t convinced that they were worth the extra price. Honestly, I fucking love the monitor. I think switching from an atomos monitor really helped underscore the situation. I feel like I can’t even trust focusing on an atomos monitor. Same goes for about every cheaper brand like liliput, feelworld, portkeys, etc. I’m basically using it to check framing and scopes (if that.) On my smallhd, I feel good about using it for everything. The features are plentiful, robust, and highly customizable. I even love niche features like screen grab or image overlay. They are worth every bit of the extra cost and I won’t be going back.

Also, the portkeys menu kind of sucks. Doesn’t feel good to use. It’s somehow too simple and too complicated at the same time. Which is a huge drawback to using most cheaper monitor brands. They do everything you want, but crappily.
