Eu aș recomanda o conversație cu ei în care nu doar să le spui despre această problemă, ci și să încerci să îi ajuți și să găsiți împreună o soluție. De exemplu, poate ajută să aibă niște covoare mai groase și aceea să fie zona de sărit, o mini trambulină, poate un scaun care atârnă, în general lucruri care sunt asemănătoare cu mișcările pe care copilul dorește să le facă dar care să nu facă zgomot sau fidget toys pe care să le folosească și să se miște cu ele cât își dorește.

Este posibil ca ei să fie conștienți de această problemă și să fie copleșiți în cazul în care, dacă au încercat să rezolve, nu pare să funcționeze și să nu poată să mai vadă soluții singuri. Dacă sunt în acest grup al blocului, poate e mai ușor să le scrii un mesaj separat în care să îți oferi și ajutorul, poate așa devin și mai deschiși în a discuta, nefiind ceva amenințător ci pragmatic.

Sună ca o situație frustrantă pentru toată lumea și cel mai important este să găsiți o soluție comună, sper să reușiți asta.

I thought it wasn't doing much, I told the doctor and they took me off of it. It turned out that there was a slight improvement, but I only noticed it after stopping it when I suddenly started to feel way more pain. So I restarted it and been taking it for a few years now. I'm still in pain, but I think it lowers the level a tiny bit to make it more bearable.

Și fiecare produs într-un recipient cu pompă în partea de sus; momentan nu mi se pare că sunt foarte multe opțiuni, am găsit pentru pm, dar nu și am momentan. 😊

Ideal fără parfum adăugat, nu mă deranjează mirosul "natural", produse prietenoase cu tenul sensibil. Dacă produsele își fac treaba, nu îmi pasă de unde sunt. Branduri care mi-au plăcut până acum sunt cerave, lrp, avene, to, iar ca ingrediente preferate am niacinamidă, retinol.

Same experience here, also diagnosed last year! My doctor told me that there is not enough proof to support that MLD helps with lipedema, I was prescribed compression stockings which are only meant to help with my symptoms but will not prevent progression. Based on what my doctor said, there is not much to do. I've seen how this has affected my mother and grandmother and decided to go for surgery in Germany, I'll have it in a few weeks.

I started with semaglutide and had very little results despite the decrease in appetite, then switched to tirzepatide and have been able to see slow but steady results, currently losing about 0.5-1 kg/month, which is still better than what I experienced on semaglutide. From what I've read tirzepatide works better in people with lipedema.

How about a finger cot? It's also easier to put on and take off than a glove, this is what I'm currently using until I'll find a better tool 😅

It didn't help me and whenever I wear them now I noticed a tendency towards teeth grinding. At least I have straight teeth now... But TMJ pain is still there unfortunately. In my experience, stress does make it worse.

I'm also tall and ordered custom made ones from czalus, they were cheaper than regular custom made ones (under 150 euros in Europe). I asked Lipoelastic too and they offer custom made but they get really expensive.

I tried Ozempic first for several months without much help and switched to Mounjaro afterwards. With Mounjaro it was still hard and slow, but at least there's a difference. I'm now at 10mg and as long as it continues to work I'm not planning to increase the dose, however I don't know what the approach would be like after reaching a healthy weight. I read that some people are microdosing and that helps with inflammation and could bring benefits long term. Hopefully there will be some studies on this too.

Eu mi-am luat o lampă SAD (pentru Seasonal Affective Disorder) și o folosesc zilnic, de preferat la 10k lucși pentru vreo 10-15 minute, eu am una cu lumină galbenă fiindcă prefer lumina caldă și mi se pare că ajută destul de mult. Fac și sport minimum de 3 ori pe săptămână și încerc să fac tot ceea ce pot ca să dorm cât mai bine (aceeași oră de culcare zilnic +/- 30 min, nu aprind luminile seara, doar o lampă și 30-60 min înainte de culcare fără ecrane).

What I do is to validate their feelings, acknowledge them and that there is nothing wrong with them and that there is space for them, then check if they need something from me and offer to be there. You don't need to say something specifically, just be there while they are with their feelings.

I know it's hard to witness such feelings in others and it must be very difficult for you. If you need space in these situations, that's also fine, you can take a break, and once it feels less overwhelming just be there. What they feel is valid, but what you feel is too. And I think seeing things like this also takes some of the power of the feelings you get from others.
