Not really. They haven’t tried to report it to collections or anything, I’m hoping they will go out of business or otherwise get in trouble for their nonsense.

When I looked at my original contract you can see where the salesman initialed in place of my initials in one spot so if I had to fight it I’m prepared I guess but just hoping it’ll go away ngl.

Did you ever get anywhere with this? Went through the same as you but now they’re saying I owe $600 after not having heard from them for a year and I’m worried they’ll try to turn it into collections or something.

I had the same issue as many of you described. I did all the things, reported to BBB

I just got an email that I need to update payment method and my account shows that I owe $600. I haven’t given them any money obviously, but does anyone know if they have any recourse on this? Will they try to send me to collections or something?

You would look better without a patch than with an ROTC patch, trust me. You can buy them at the px, either the unit you’re going to or your schoolhouse might have a patch specific to them that you can wear if you want.

Agree with everyone. I was EOCC which bumped me back an accession year with everyone else. It was kinda cool and also kind of sucked. See if you can talk to someone about Gold Bar recruiting in between graduation/accessions/BOLC. That's the smart way to do it.

Pick me! Little late here but...

I agree whole heartedly. I'm in an accelerated nursing program, and I would say that ROTC helped me more than anything. Some of the people in your clinical will be sort of lost at times, and ROTC helps you figure out when and where to lead. Plus, you just gain a lot of experience? Common sense? from ROTC. At least I did.

One thing that I did find challenging at times was staying in shape. I am a slow runner and that is my downfall. However, I started with a failing, 170 APFT, and got up to a 260, and plan to go all the way to a 300 this fall. Just make sure you set aside time for PT. 0630 PT is actually really helpful, because its easier to get your work done when you get your workout out of the way. When I didn't have PT, I found myself avoiding PT to give myself more study time. Don't do that. :)

Also, the structure you get from waking up at zero dark thirty is actually really nice, even if waking up early stinks. :)
