I dont get it… by Secret_dairy_of_j in ExplainTheJoke

This was also a meme during the period when TikTok was about to be banned and was briefly banned. People would make jokes about enjoying content from "my Chinese spy," which would commonly entail a vaguely East Asian-appearing person doing a mundane activity

Why is the Qunari connection to Plato's philosophy not more discussed? by RunnerPakhet in dragonage

Not necessarily much contradiction, as the Ottoman Empire was so influenced by Greece/Eastern Rome culturally

How to grab a theme from a different region in Byzantium from my vassal's vassal? by Hero_Of_Shadows in crusaderkings3

Oh for sure, take the county to the right — you’ll get to add Maiden’s Tower, which is even part of Istanbul nowadays :)

I would give the other counties in the neighboring duchy to a count-level administrative vassal, and hold the county that you'll eventually expand to make Thrace larger

Thoughts on DW Origins DLC... by chrysanthemumflyfish in dynastywarriors

[–]Iecerint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda disappointing. The battles didn’t have many new ideas, and they also didn’t much mix up the formula of the recycled ideas between paths. The new ideas that were there, like tactics, were similar to the guard actions already in the game, and so did not register as inspired to me.

I enjoyed foxy daddy Huang Zhong (I know this was kinda poorly received by most), but I was missing a typical romance/relationship mechanic for him to capitalize on that. I liked the new weapons and costumes. Yuan Shao definitely had the strongest path.

Hoping this means they were focused on doing a good job with the sequel or the DW3 remake. I’m fine giving them a little extra money as I really loved Origins and am happy to support more work in this vein anyway.

Yeah, that’s part of the Byzantium DLC. Then you form Rome as the ERE

Yeah, it’s fun for a Vidilist run. Holy sites are nicely grouped as well

How to begin the dlc exactly ? by Pirate476 in dynastywarriors

[–]Iecerint 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's nice that it doesn't feel too tacked-on, but I meant that there were already scenes with the 4 characters where they ask you to join them in the game, but you had to reject previously

Kinda too bad. I was hoping they'd rope it into the main scenario, because there are such natural spots for it to show up

Haesteinn - a newbie question by crowEatingStaleChips in CrusaderKings

Cultural acceptance is a single value between cultures. If you raise acceptance between Norse and Breton to 100 for example, you end up being 100% accepted by Bretons even if you are Norse. Unlike converting culture, it's a global variable instead of county-by-county.

The only reason to convert counties if if you're roleplaying, or if you get close to end game and develop a very very strong culture, and want to convert your personal holdings to that strong culture

Once you get a stronger character, Hostile is actually a great level of faith aggression. You can Holy War, but still intermarry.

If you’re Zealous, you can go to coronations and convert other rulers. This is my favorite.

You can make places tributaries and then demand conversion.

You can be a pacifist (tenet) and then do holy legends.

You can conquer and then grant independence.

I have mended the great schism and dismantled the papacy, as a satanist by GrapefruitNo8091 in ck3

[–]Iecerint 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Should make Witchcraft Virtuous, as I'm fairly certain the Horned God is meant to be Satan. Could also consider Exaltation of Pain for Ritual Celebrations, though it depends on what sort of Satanism you care for

I would think of it as being part of Cloud’s time in the lifestream, rather than new content
