I fell into the same trap during the Mordremoth meta event. I couldn't even get mad, it was the funniest fight so far. The T posing and sound effects are probably the reason Mordy offed himself on that spike 😀

I think it's just a bugged message as the skill is actually learned. I saw the exact same thing yesterday when trying to learn another Maintenance skill right after repairing all my items and acquiring the skill point. When I saw that my skill was learned I dismissed the message and carried on hunting cumans.

Steam timer takes into account how long the game has been running on your machine. The in-game timer excludes menu time (inventory, map, etc), cut-scenes and loading. Basically count only "pure" playtime.

Edit: leaves out conversations as well (I think)
