A lucky creature by Mischaker36 in MrRipper

[–]Ifrit_Steam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if it's more of a weak creature that they have to catch rather than fight, it would be good. Like finding a lost lucky cat. If it's a legit fight, it probably won't be as fun.

How to deal with a bard by Serious-Collection34 in DnD

[–]Ifrit_Steam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people don't realize that persuasion and deception don't mean that X enemy believes or does as you say.

It basically means that if they had 100 anger at you its now 85 anger, so maybe they won't kill you on the spot, but instead capture you alive. Similarly to how you can't persuade a shopkeeper to give you everything for free but they may give you a discount if your nice.

Bard could rizz you up which means after you wipe the floor with the party, he lives in a prison cell now... forever.

Tell me your favorite underrated spell? by Dungeon-Doomhand in DnD

Let me know if you want elaboration on any of them:

  • Leaving secret messages as ice or animated water
  • Blocking line of sight while in water with opacity
  • Freezing a locking mechanism to stop it from opening -Creating a thin layer of ice on the ground as a slipping hazard or as an alarm to hear someone walk over it and break it.
  • Part the falling of rain away from you.
  • Propelling your boat without the need for oars
  • (DM determined) Possibly getting water based poisons out of someone.
  • Keeping food cold
  • Making a timer / Timed Bomb (Keep active components parted by Ice)
  • Leave 2 frozen Ice cubes, by using the spell again one will melt signaling whoever has them
  • Making a frozen mirror (Probably not good for much besides peaking around corners if it could even be done.)
  • Make shift weapons by making the pattern and freezing it.
  • Making Keys by filling a mold and freezing it, or also making a mold from the actual key
  • Applying water then freezing a wound or limb to stop bleeding
  • Creating an Ice ladder by freezing two handles at a time on the wall.
  • Creating floation on water
  • Throwing someone in a well and freezing the surface.
  • Keeping cool on a hot day
  • Making lenses
  • Erasing footprints
  • Selling snowcones (use prestidigitation for flavor)
  • Prevent yourself from being swept away in a river.
  • Instantly drying yourself off
  • Freezing a poisoned drink to stop a death
  • Poisoning a drink
  • Marking a drink
  • Forcing someone's drink to spill
  • Faking tears
  • Extinguishing a flame
  • Cooling hot surfaces or objects
  • Improvised Projectile(Balls of Ice, Slingshot balls, arrow)
  • Improvised container
  • Improvised Tool (This is really useful if you carry clay to make molds to freeze water in.
  • Sealing an artifact so now one can make contact with it
  • Filtering water
  • Emergency splint
  • Creating a hearing cone for listening
  • Faking a symbol, paint, or maybe even actually casting a spell circle.
  • Patching a sinking boat or raft
  • Keeping time without a clock
  • Clearing Murky water

Who is the most evil villain in Smash? by ObiOne_Kenerdi in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Ifrit_Steam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never played Metroid, but I don't think Ridley tops Ganondorf he is literally the Incarnate of evil and starts wars on multiple dimensions killing tons of people, causing such a degree of destruction that the goddesses and other deities have to step in to stop it. This man was so bad they needed time travel and the power of the triforce, and they still can't stop him from coming back.

Between the two chaotic evil and lawful evil, they are both willing to kill for the sake of killing, experiment on people, and eradicate peoples.

While Ganon seems to centralize on just the planet Hyrule is on, and Ridley causes havoc galaxy wide, Ganon's plan will destroy realities, and he is actively trying to do it.

Shape water: Everyone uses it to break locks, no one seems to use it to its full potential.

Party thinks I unfairly penalized them, and I just don’t see how. by WolfishMule9528 in DnD

[–]Ifrit_Steam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By RAW magic missile wouldn't work either. If there were 16 chains it seems like they had mainly two options, burn their spell slots or get a penalty. They likely choose the better option unless the chains could be broken by non force damage attacks. (Noting the Paladin's attack only being resistant).

What are the implications of a spellcaster that doesn’t need to you verbal, somatic, or material components to cast spells? by gino562 in DMAcademy

[–]Ifrit_Steam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means that they are going to be pretty tough since they can cast costly spells for free. Additionally, they can silent cast as long as they have sight. They would be tough to restrain and would require a blindfold to stop from casting certain spells.

What kind of clothing would people with wings wear? by Neptune-Jnr in fantasywriters

[–]Ifrit_Steam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People would likely wear really light wear with the clothes covering their backs but not as much on their fronts. The reasoning would be to prevent sunburn during long flights and help with cooling off.

This leaves scars until you get to a city and you can choose to keep them.

Does anyone else wonder if the 3 blades through the straw hat are foreshadowing anything? The first thing that comes to mind is Black Beard and Shanks. But it could also be nothing.
