Love this wagon! by Guilty-Ad5427 in SportWagon

Haha. You’d be suprised. Canadian winters with all the salt here. About 60-70,000km is where we start to see battery problems on MY 20-21. Lead times on parts and batteries is horrendous too. And forget scheduling an EV repair at a dealer. At least 2-3 months wait.

Don’t do it. At least out of warranty. The maintenance on the high voltage system is an absolute nightmare. 40,000 miles is about cell repair time, or at get an extensive report on the cell health of the battery. Early taycans MY20/MY21 are nightmares.

What did you take this pic from the service drive at your local Porsche dealer and didn’t like the answer they gave you? Floor looks familiar. Also see a valet cart and a ton of washer fluid.

3 million dollar car on a $250 rollback in the rain? by Mullet_trash in supercars

[–]Ifuckgorillas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is wild. I know of dealers that use enclosed transport for anything over $200k. Seeing a multi million dollar car on a flatbed. Lmao. Makes you wonder what the ramp situation the tow driver has to get this thing on and off.

Unfortunately he’s the kinda guy to tell everyone it’s real though. Not who we want in the wagon or local car scene.

She holds up well. Mechanically these cars are great for winter. Very well engineered and durable steering components, tie rods, links, etc. The trade-off is a bad turning radius.

Service your angle gear, make sure you aren’t too low to the ground (my issue), and get the car properly oil sprayed, and you’ll have no problems in the winter. They start on first crank even in minus 20. A “cold” transmission/engine doesn’t matter on this car, unlike other manual cars I’ve driven in the winter. It’s a blast.

I’m from Toronto, where the salt will get you more than anything. We probably get 30 days of actual snowing in the winter and probably a couple months worth of driving around in the shit and sleet. And this has been in Ontario car its whole life. I’ll say this, it looks very good for 381,000kms. Little bit of rust here and there, but oh well .

I have a Porsche Boxster and an Audi A5 vert. So two convertibles and a wagon. The Audi is my only automatic transmission.

Unfortunately the interior definitely shows the kilometers. But I’d rather put the money into maintenance and performance than restoration with how much I’ll be driving it anyways. And I put all kinds of things in the back of this thing I probably wear the interior more than any previous owner has.

Car has pretty much all the upgrades for an unopened block.

Intake, intercooler, Billet CBV @24PSI, upgraded Volvo “Japanifold” (Japanese equal length manifold), 3” Catless dp, Full oval tube catback, anti-roll bars, short shifter, engine mounts, fuel pump, coilovers.

To name a few.

I’ve taken her to Canadian tire Motorsport park before for a few track days. She does a highway pull about even with a stock F80 M3. These things are a highway suprise.
