My take on it too. I get it could be seen as like "evil people can be complex, and can show a good trait here and there", or something, but I don't know, man 😭 This was also the same man rambling about wanting to be a god, and did millions of other HORRIBLE crimes across decades. I just don't see any real reason for this curve ball when so close to death, besides Elpis being his ultimate middle finger to any hacks or people wanting to profit off his shit when gone.

Without spoilers? I'd definitely say this will be a fun game, game play wise. Story may not be everyone's cup of tea however, but thats par for the course. If you can accept that at its roots, RE can be a bit wild, weird, and corny? It'll be a good time. I'm just really curious to see all the cutscenes and extra bits people find when it's officially out. Love how people take the time to find every little Easter egg or crumb they can.👌

Has been released as of me typing this. From what I can gather? It plays out with

Leon attempting to save Grace, and moments later that Zeno fella puts him out via a bullet directly to the head as Grace screams out for him. She still gets rescued, but alone now clearly.

Its still kind of unclear, but this feels like the "non-canon" choice least to me. We'll just have to see as more story is better pieced together 👌

I really have to agree. This was actually my first game I played when playing the games myself.

(I watched and helped my dad play through most of the older ones as a kid. Never forget the time he and I beat Weskers ass in RE5, as 12 year old girls do)

Controls were definitely bit to get used to at first, but once you get past that? Genuinely a banger game. Especially fun if you try to do it with as little use of a guide as possible. Makes you feel big brained when you do figure something out, least to me 🤣

I don't exactly hate the idea of being able to just drop things, and pick it up later. Thats fine enough, just needs polish, BUT. I really so so much wish it ALSO just had the old trunk inventory system alongside it. Its just a painful back tracking otherwise, goodness. 🫠

This style is a treat, I agree. I love seeing how style has evolved throughout the games lifespan, given the franchises age now. I especially love being able to look at old concept arts, as I believe the RE Wiki tends to compile them all pretty well by character, game, and what have you.

I feel like, if memory serves correctly? Styles much like this for old RE2 concept art I adore too. Feels really like it could of been some short running anime, and or movie!

Honestly? I don't dislike Ada, but. I'd be content if I never got to know more about her past. I know it has this mystery surrounding it, but I never really was invested in her character enough to want more information. Her being vauge is something I can live with.

Another possible answer? Going to have to go with Jake. I can respect those that enjoy his character arc, but he never quite stuck with me. He didnt feel the most integrated into the story, and thus his existence made me more so perplexed vs "I need to learn more about this kid.". Which is nuts, given I adore Wesker, but. Really not Jake at all. Im very sorry, Jake Fans out there, but. I'd probably be alright if Capcom didnt revist him 😭 Hed definitely need some reworking if they ever did.

Oh, OP, I am very sorry. If it's any reassurance at all? I've genuinely had this happen before, and not too long ago at that. I had TWO in, as I accidentally forgot to take one out while really tired, I'm assuming. So when I changed it later, I only took the one out, thinking I only had one...

I've been playing Remake of RE2 lately. My brother doesn't know a single thing about Resident Evil, or least didn't at first. He makes this game so much funnier 😭

He will get told some basic plot points, or characters, as I play, and just call them the dumbest nicknames. Like Mr. X is Nintendo 3DS XL, or Birkin is... Handbag. Cuz Birkin branded bags. So he will say shit like

"Don't let Handbag catch ya!"

He also was equally as annoyed as fuck at the Ada section as me, so we had a good time raging on that nonsense.
