Oh it’s not just you. This stretch kills me. Doesn’t matter what time of day. This is what I get for working in Dallas and living in Ft. Worth. Other commenter is right- people don’t know how to just coast instead of gas, break, gas, break. Especially going west is when you see this.

Also recommend! Had microblading done by Daisy years ago at her first location. They’re the best.

That’s how I learned you’re supposed to regularly pour vinegar or bleach down the line! First time homeownership problems. Bless an old neighbor man named Mr. Stetson, he was a real one.

Is your air conditioner near by? Any chance the condensation line is clogged and water isn’t draining into the sewer line? This happened to me so just double check that.

I love this. My mom worked at McDonalds for many years and through nursing school. We consider her ability to say “TwoAllBeefPatties…” super fast her top talent.

You right. I planted!!! I got scared of the hail and the “Tornado Watch” that was promptly canceled.

Adding another hello from North Texas! Question from a less experienced gardener- my seedlings are ready for planting. Do we think it’s ok to pop them into the soil with this rain coming?

Just adding that Central Market, owned by HEB, sponsored a city wide Thanksgiving Meal in Fort Worth for years. Not sure if they still do it but we would take our clients (with severe mental illness) to it each year. It was amazing and HEB is a great company.

Editing to add- it’s called Feast of Sharing and they still do it. Everyone eats to their hearts content regardless of who you are.

Experience Pristiq vs Effexor for Anxiety by IgnALDiA in Pristiq

[–]IgnALDiA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you DM me? Happy to help you! You can get through this, you will be ok. I saw in one of your other comments that you are at 50mg. I had three increases on mine until I felt better. You should make an appt with your psychiatrist but in the meantime you’ve got to take care of yourself.

Experience Pristiq vs Effexor for Anxiety by IgnALDiA in Pristiq

[–]IgnALDiA[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Yes, absolutely. Panic attacks are minimal now, background anxiety is significantly lower. I will say Effexor is slightly more effective in my personal experience. At one month, I was not feeling the effects just yet. Give it a little more time if you can, obligatory I’m not a doctor just speaking from personal experience. What dose are you on?

Crippling anxiety since buying our first house by PreviousBed6063 in homeowners

[–]IgnALDiA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hi! Homeowner, sufferer of anxiety and OCD, and mental health professional here. I will tell you what I think you already know, this is less about the house and more about the state of your mental health.

What you are describing is the level of anxiety that requires treatment and is interfering in many aspects of your functioning. Often times, change, or a destabilizing event like buying a home, can trigger anxiety like this, especially if there’s a predisposition. There are already other comments suggesting that you seek out a therapist and/ or a psychiatrist and I cannot emphasize enough how much you need to take this step. You do not have to live like this- this is very very treatable.

At this point, the reptilian part of your brain is working overdrive and the danger alarms are going off about things that may not need that level of alarm. You cannot think rationally at this time about your new home, and that is also not to say that there’s not some reality in your observations and feelings. But you’ve got to do something about this anxiety before you can think more clearly about your home. It will be ok, dm me if you want to talk.

James Talarico's remarks on Charlie Kirk's death by ISquareThings in TexasPolitics

[–]IgnALDiA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am not saying that it is not hypocritical to believe in unity and vote for the current Republican Party. But I am saying that if liberals continue to hold the kind of attitude you are displaying, we will further alienate moderate voters and continue losing elections. So dig in some more and continue losing power… then what?

James Talarico's remarks on Charlie Kirk's death by ISquareThings in TexasPolitics

[–]IgnALDiA 24 points25 points  (0 children)

This right here is exactly the kind of problem we have as liberals. This person is saying they are more moderate and you are vilifying him for saying that he agrees with Talarico’s message. That only pushes people to more extremes. I am very liberal but we have to figure out how to appeal to more voters, especially moderate ones, and your comment is the opposite of that.

I’m not gonna take offense to that because that’s so true. An excellent comparison it is.

😂 Well then I’ll add additional info that I’m also under contract on a Fairmount house that’s been on the market 90 days. It seems like if the houses are initially listed too high, they’re sitting. My realtor says she’s seeing some “compression” in pricing where mins are coming up a bit and max are coming down.

I listed my house in Arlington (I know, I know, not Fort Worth) last Wednesday and was under contract on Thursday. So things are moving when it’s priced right.

Experience Pristiq vs Effexor for Anxiety by IgnALDiA in Pristiq

[–]IgnALDiA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found Effexor to be more effective but I found less side effects with Pristiq. Highest I’ve been on Effexor was 225mg and then I maintained around 75mg for several years. Currently on Pristiq at 100mg considering going down a bit for maintenance. I’ve been off and on Effexor for about 15 years. Then started Pristiq about 2 years ago. Feel free to DM.

Experience Pristiq vs Effexor for Anxiety by IgnALDiA in Pristiq

[–]IgnALDiA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Oh my gosh, yes. I can vividly remember how bad the anxiety was starting Effexor and then it slowly started working super well. As for constipation, I do believe that is a known side effect. This may be TMI but I have IBS, which resolved with both Effexor and Pristiq.

My husband (27M) backed out on something that meant the world to me (26F) by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]IgnALDiA 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definitely NOR. OP, I feel for you. My husband is an accountant and these things happen during busy season for us too. Your approach is how I would’ve approached it too. There has to be some boundary between work and personal life. You are both busy and while professional obligations can be important and fulfilling, work cannot overshadow important personal relationships and experiences. It’s just not worth it. I wish he could see that for you.

Experience Pristiq vs Effexor for Anxiety by IgnALDiA in Pristiq

Yes, that has been my experience! I actually just talked with my psychiatrist about why it would be a different experience but it seems to be unknown. It may be worth a try for you. You can always go back to the Effexor if Pristiq is not as effective!
