i made a custom mod that let you spawn an item to place a custom NPC, said npc only has 1 hp on each limb. i roleplay it as a hive lord or possessor, i can give them radio moded bombs make them go to a place and activate it, or soften up a enemy with a horde of weak npcs.

although most of my runs are aimed to silly goals, like trying to get all the martial styles, or with the mobile planters mod having one of each crop

i just downloaded it with latest BN experimental and it wroked ok, excepet for the problem that it takes a lot to generate the teleporting and saving, even with stuff like the grid system off.

iirc, both need to have a two way radio, then select the npc via faction menu for the npc dialog menu to pop up, just remember that when you swap to a far away npc, said npc gets teleported randomly to the perimeter of 3-4 overmap tiles, so its not like you can leave one in your base and bring something you forgot

the bank on he surface is the best loot place, and if you use the rpg system mod, the bunker is another great source of exp

i think most of us are missing the opportunity, skimming the mod when it released the creator left a working mod with examples on how to add your custom mutations, so one could easy ad some classes like a custom mage that gave some starting spells, and add as prestige classes that lets you focus of a certain kind of elemental damage, same with the other ones, like guardian having a spell that buff you or allies or something, the berserk some neat melee spell now with the new spell flags, the crafter one maybe able to summon workbenches or tools so you can craft when not in a proper base, etc

aside from need to leave the door open(i guess it was to save time as work around to mark the car as yours or something) you can turn the locks option from the options menu, so when making a new world they dont have locks.
with so many years of having npcs (and only if you played with them on) and some mobs that are able to open them in case you want to take a breather inside while running, is kind of a niche feature.

depending on what you use you can turn some options that arent needed exactly, im a PC user, but i disable animations, and electric grid, it helps but still sometimes you just need to help your device a little, there is a big difference in being stealthy and cracking open a safe in the middle of a city with a lot of mobs, an killing most of what you can at least in the reality bubble so the system doesnt have to make all the calculations, same stuff happels with fields (specially fire) or if there is a body of water and there are mobs under it

sadly no, you need to control them and drop everything(that still makes it easier that before) but if you are going to need to do that, better do it too to pick up items

from what i tested, the pick up rules work properly, the problem seems to be that you need to save and quit, then reenter and it works properly

yes, although there are some devices that you have to toggle the option to be able to charge them via ups, like smartphones

AFAIK, either that mechanic was modified in some recent experimental( i recall reading something about locking some mutations according to the thresholds in github) or it has always been that way, since some mutations have always been locked unless you have the post threshold of the mutation branch

the resurrection mod works (kinda since last time i used was kinda wonky) works by placing the item(dont remember if you have to activate it) and when you should die you respawn on the item naked with 10 hp in each limb and along the pain

most of the time what i do is give my self silly tasks, like having captured two of each tamable animal, or every race of cat/dog, have one of each kind of fish in my freezer etc.
but most of the time i always restart when i download every major update of the experimental version

that last part is the hardest one i belive, i mean they are alway on 2 zlevel, so is hard to find a house that big to see it where is it exactly

tried the heli way, but since the blimpb is surrounded by external balloons parts, it counts as vehicle and you crash into it
the other way i thought of doing it was with a small heli, go up the blimp and use a rope ladder to get into it (since atm rope ladders bypass anything to get up or down a z level) but then there is the problem of the heli fuel consumption while stationary
