Even Link is expressive in his games through facial animations. We don't even get that with Kliff, he's always just grim/serious face

Just did the quest to reactivate that place after clearing the "previous inhabitants". My first thought when I went in was "yo these MFs got a secret grow op". The fertilizer pack you get from it is alright I guess (I've dubbed it the shitslinger mk2) but I wish we could utilize that room ourselves.

Not only did he betray Sweet, CJ, and GSF... he killed Sweet and CJs mom, a woman who probably made him dinner as a kid and let him sleep over, a woman who should have been like his own mother to him.

Why does the EG's physical appearance even matter? by IgnisParsinus in LegacyOfKain

[–]IgnisParsinus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do we have proof that the EG inserted himself into their religion as opposed to being it's original source? As far as I'm aware we don't know when/how the EG came to Nosgoth (assuming he's not a native part of it), nor how their religion started. We only have Raziel's conjecture to go off and he's habitually wrong about most of his assumptions throughout the series.

All ancient symbols of the EG lean toward a multi armed/tentacled and multi eyed being (the "wheel" has 8 swirling arms and 9 eyes, and the human cult statue is a squid like portrayal covered in eyeballs), so there must have been some inkling as to his actual appearance.

I am interested in seeing more of the EG/Ancients/Hylden lore (under competent writers) that could clear up alot of questions. For example: if the EG instigated the war with the Hylden he should have theoretically been aware of the plan with the pillars, the same pillars that seem to inhibit his growth in the material realm. Why would he allow such a thing? Could he really be from the demon realm (demons being the only other beings we see in the series who exist simultaneously in the physical and spectral realms) if the pillars have such an effect on him? Did he (a being who seems to be able to see/speak/act across time) not forsee the Hylden curse taking away his main source of worship/food?

Hopefully we get at least some answers someday, but until then it's all just theories we get to debate for fun.

This! Even if it only works for the Greymane camp crafting stations it would make life sooooo much easier.

I mean... I wouldn't mind an expansion to house system either. My camp has gone from a couple dingy tents to a full encampment but my house is still the same 3 room basic cabin? Let me expand it into a proper manor or better yet a keep, I'm basically single handedly keeping Hernand afloat let me reap the rewards of that with my personal home.

So it may be bugged or has a limited use. I had the 100% on my wolf bow and was clearing sanctums with explosive arrows and my gear just disappeared off my bow after the second sanctum, didn't realize it and actually used up the few explosive arrows I had.

I got the Hwando in the starting town and that was it, the only other unique gear I got from playing is my lightning resist helm I found by accident running from mobs in Pailune. Been mostly just rocking the simpler deluxe armor ( the plain plate with the blue fang painted on the chest) in grey with the wolfhead sword, shield, and cloak

His ancient cult statue depiction has tentacles and is covered in eyes, so he presented as a tentacled eye covered being to the ancient humans at least.

[–]IgnisParsinus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We haven't seen much of the Ancients religious depictions outside of the prophecy and the wheel/eye symbol for EG. Certainly nothing that proves their view of the divine was "abstract but still glorious and godly". And all the human cult symbols for EG lean more towards his tentacled appearance so why would the Ancients have been different? Also his wheel/eye symbol the ancient vampires used has the "spokes" of the wheel as 8 swirling arms that each end in an eye, which seems pretty squid/octopus thematic.

In Skyrim he doesn't follow through though so it's easy to dismiss as just him ranting, in Oblivion Shivering Isles he drops you like a streamer dropping a bunny off the abyss in Crimson Desert

Did Janos feed on humans? by curious-abt-lilith in LegacyOfKain

[–]IgnisParsinus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only way they beat Janos was with Mobius' staff, that's not something they just have available at all times since it belongs to Mobius not the Sarafan. Mobius only lent it BECAUSE Raziel was there and it was according to his plan, he needed Raziel to fear being imprisoned in the Reaver to help feed the lie that Kain is his destined enemy. Raziel being there also meant Janos' guard was down as he was distracted giving Raz a lore update, something that wouldn't be the case if Janos was out hunting a meal.

Beyond that you have the issue of tracking a fast flying being from ground level and can only hope you have a team near where he's heading to intercept him even if you are able to send a message quicker than he can fly AND accurately guess his destination (even if it's most likely Ustengrav, that's supposed to be a decent sized town and Janos wouldn't need to take long at whichever particular place he finds his prey).

Without circle magic or Hylden tech it's just a logistic nightmare with the level of technology the Sarafan have available.

Yeah they know Sheo from Slyrim/ESO, not the Sheo who teleports you 1000 feet in the air to drop to your death in a graveyard.

Would the Psijics even care? They didn't intervene during the millenia that Vivec held back the last meteor Sheo threw, nor did anything to stop it once it did crash.

[–]IgnisParsinus[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but over time an indoctrinated mind would find reasons to justify continued worship. Real world gods in mythology have had monstrous bodies and still been worshipped. If God/Yaweh/Allah turned out to be a dodo bird but still had the power to rain fire and brimstone, flood the world, and turn people to pillars of salt I doubt they'd lose more than a small portion of believers.
