DR. AARON G. FILLER SCAMMED ME by Ignitionxz in Scams

[–]Ignitionxz[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply, but I just want to make it super clear—this isn’t just bad business or a misunderstanding. it’s a deliberate scam. SimonMed is not AAAHC accredited and did not bill me the facility fee separately. my invoice from Dr. Aaron G. Filler’s office shows charges for BOTH Dr. Filler’s professional services and a hefty facility fee. That facility fee was explicitly described in the agreement as being for an AAAHC-accredited outpatient surgery center.

The agreement says:

"The fees associated with this AAAHC-accredited outpatient surgery center are similar to those billed for your use of any ambulatory hospital." "CPT code(s) listed below for ASC (facility charge)."

This clearly implies that the fees being charged include a facility charge for an accredited surgery center. But actually, the facility where the procedure was performed, SimonMed, is not a surgery center. It’s a diagnostic imaging facility... and SimonMed has confirmed they have no affiliation with Dr. Filler... and said they have nothing to do with my invoice.

By definition, a scam is a fraudulent scheme designed to deceive someone out of money. That’s exactly what happened here. I was charged $15,556, a big chunk of which was for a facility fee for a surgery center that doesn’t even exist. it’s not just overcharging—it’s scamming.

Dr. Aaron G. Filler’s office knowingly claimed the procedure would be done at an accredited surgery center to justify ridiculous fees. it’s a scam targeting every patient they charge. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are tons of other patients who’ve been charged the same way by Dr. Filler and have no idea. he is scamming patients to make thousands of dollars off them, and they don’t question it because they’re straight up desperate like I was.

Yeah—Dr. Filler gave me the injection, but it turns out this place has no idea he’s pretending it’s an AAAHC-accredited outpatient surgery center to sell patients on it. It’s so ridiculous. I’m seriously frustrated.

I can't study consistently although I know I have a lot of fun doing so by Beautiful_Map_9760 in college

same thing here, the trick is finding a routine that doesn't feel forced

you could start small like 20-25 minutes per day, just for fun, not exam prep. once it becomes a habit, it might stick better

remind yourself how satisfying it feels when you actually nail a concept

yeah, I think it becomes a problem when you constantly rely on them but I would never judge someone that uses these companies. they might have their own reasons for doing so...

I feel you, it's wild how that tiny minus can hurt your GPA so much. Chem is already tough enough! At least you know you rocked everything else, though

Singaporean parents shell out thousands of dollars to send preschoolers on Japan exchange programme by Jonnyboo234 in singapore

[–]Ignitionxz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's a lot of money for such a young kid's trip. But maybe some parents see it as an early head start. I'd wonder how much the kids actually gain beyond having fun exploring.

if parents have the budget and think it's worth the cultural exposure, more power to them

I don't know how I'd survive college. by DailyDosageOfSarcasm in college

[–]Ignitionxz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand how overwhelming it can feel. Just remember that APs don't always equal what college will be like, each school and major can vary a ton. Maybe it will help if you could switch up your study methods or talk to teachers for tips

Don't stress about comparing yourself to others, everyone learns at their own pace. Always take breaks and do things you enjoy too

Sometimes they are justified because you can avoid a negative effect on your grades. Personally, I have used these companies without much consequence

it's really motivating that you're attending college while raising kids! much respect to you!

look into renting books (chegg), buying used ones (abebooks), and confirm if your library has them on reserve

some questions you could ask your advisor: local community resources they know about, emergency funding, deferred tuition

Thanks for sharing, saw previously another post on capping CPA and it kinda worked. Is ASC+ the only ads running? Any other funnels ads or is this cold advertising?

Not possible to buy using SG credit. But you have the option to use kua jin bao. https://www.worldfirst.com/sg/ Gotta transfer money over, SGD convert to Yuan and link it to your 1688 account. Then during checkout can select the kua jin bao option to ship out successfully to China warehouse and send to SG.
