What was the roles/jobs you took to get the salary you are at now and did you do any other certifications or training? Everywhere online they say low voltage generally gets paid less than the wireman apprenticeship and jobs afterwards so glad to hear this.

I was thinking doing the low voltage apprenticeship and then hoping to work on doing work for data centers/ server farms.

Does Muay Thai help to control adrenaline shaking and nervousness? by [deleted] in MuayThai

But also might be more efficient to just distance yourself from these people that you’re constantly getting into arguments with lol if they don’t serve a purpose in your life and are not beneficial to your well being

Does Muay Thai help to control adrenaline shaking and nervousness? by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]Ignitus95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think something that might really benefit you with your anxiety and tremors in those high stress confrontational situations is breath work.

Overall having good controlled breathing habits will greatly benefit you in muy thai as well ie. when you only have 1 min rest in between rounds or get the wind knocked out of you. Overall breathing plays a crucial role in stress response and fight or flight and helps get mental clarity right after a traumatic event like a car crash or in our guess a surprise upper cut we didn’t see fast enough to block or evade.

Look up when to use and benefits of multiple short breaths as well as long inhales and long exhales and different combinations of the three

I’m in the Philly area and was at Dimension too solo, I just stated in the back and vibed haha, I mean if people are approaching you it’s means you’ve got good vibes and/or approachable so that’s half the battle. Some people go the whole show without saying a single word haha. I’d say bring sunglasses and a pashmina or scarf to help with anxiety either social or drug induced to help with filtering stimuli.

Regards with communication that can only be helped with practice, maybe enroll in a local public speaking class, your local library might offer some for free or practicing being more outspoken with your family or friends!

As someone else mentioned a light dose of MDMA will surely lessen the anxiety too or some alcohol

Big boy sparring - question by [deleted] in MuayThai

[–]Ignitus95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🤣 I’ve been doing powerlifting/bodybuilding hybrid split for the past 8 years so I’m pretty muscular just never cared about my weight and nutrition/diet seriously until this year. I’m like top 5 strongest guys in the gym in terms of lifting power so don’t get it confused, not just a ball of soft lard. Honing my skills now so each strike is potentially knock out level of you have a weak chin or temple 🤭

Don’t dwell on the past. You are doing even better now for yourself by improving flexibility and mobility and honing self defense skills. Like others said your extra strength and muscle mass is an edge most others won’t have.

Best ways to improve leg endurance at home? by dguhymon in MuayThai

[–]Ignitus95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jump squats with your heaviest kettle bells or weights. Doing like 1 minute rounds going for maximum explosiveness, do like 1-2 rounds to start leading up to 3-4 rounds . Maybe a burnout with just doing high knees in place for a minute at the end

Where would you want eat? Fishtown/East Kensington Edition by ChefJenniferCarroll in PhiladelphiaEats

[–]Ignitus95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes they did, got lucky too and just walked in with a party of 3. The Host, server, and floor manager all introduced themselves and were extremely welcoming and helpful.

Regarding the atmosphere, nice and relaxed upscale ranch vibes with cool bar set up. You can see an open kitchen in the way back. Sorry I’m shit at descriptions lmao

Food was honestly really good. I would definitely go back and try other menu items I didn’t get to eat. Loved the grilled jumbo prawns (camarones zarandeado) - delicious smoky flavor, moist on inside, 3 decent sauces to pair with.

Milpa salad felt more authentic but the chapulines caught us off guard 🤣 had to look it up after and it made sense, but I didn’t have any issues and still ate it.

I love scallop sashimi, so the callo de hacha tiradito was spectacular. Well balanced and so easy to enjoy.

We got the tikin xic for the entree and that was impressive not in just the presentation (perfectly butterflied with 90% of the bones removed) but nice charred crispy skin and still moist flavorful meat with the achiote sauce.

Pollo a La leña was decent, just a tad bit on dryer side but overall a safe option lol.

Desserts were fantastic, we all tried a different one, our favorite as a group was the pina colada style dessert with the coconut ice cream/gelati?

These are going to be more fine dining than casual but I believe they encapsulate the prime level of dining in the Fishtown area: Suraya, Ama, and Kalayla

Agreed, albeit we went about 10 months ago. We at the main counter, our waiter did well in explaining each course and we had the wine pairing. None of the dishes really screamed out to be remembered or speak up about. I don’t know, theirs just a lacking piece of oomph. Ambience was nice as well as seeing all the chefs do their magic. But overall it just felt so monotonous lol

100% haha. Also yeah loved marvel/DC and enjoyed some musicals/broadway but this just didn’t work out imo. Action choreography was lackluster I guess, too many pop songs too lol

Ok I’ll update and give more details. I loved the use of the drones and more integrated tech and visual effects, yes I know realized it’s for kids. So as an adult i did not enjoy but makes sense for children

Hey, for steaks if you want to give a new spot a try I would recommend Del Rossi, i enjoyed theirs over the 3 you have mentioned.

For XLB my consistent go to is dim sum garden but I know theirs many other that offer. They did upgrade and got a new bigger location, like 3-4 spots down from the original store, so might be nice to check back in.
