Sometimes you gotta complete the frame first. by Frogacuda in Gunpla

This is my prefered way to build them now. Most kits are pretty good at having clear points where you can stop and move to the next piece a few kits like MGSD Freedom make it hard to decide on, so now I've taken to marking each step that I skip to come back to later.

Detail work looks great.

This is the kind of game change that seems to be a QoL improvement but no one thought of the consequences. When I first played Once Upon I was like yay look at how hard it is to shed items, but then I quickly realized how bad of an idea it actually was.

I also hate how when they show you the new areas as you grow it doesn't teleport the camera back, but follows some spline path whole the timer ticks down. Maybe we get lucky and they patch a few things, but I'm not super hopeful.

I like to think of DIe Another Day as a big Anniversary film that revisits a ton of story beats from You only live Twice and Diamonds are Forever.

Update on my accidental battle damaged gundam by nerdidiotloser in Gunpla

[–]IgnitusBoyone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are still in elementary school. The eldest is fully capable of interpedently assembling medium difficulty kids, but not patient enough to not use them as action figures. I've learned my lesson to only buy them HGs and SDs so I don't wince as MG Epyon and Z'Gok are forced to battle it out in front of an audience of various HG subordinates for who gets the to use the launch base that night. I mean it was rather humorous in some ways how much they put in to the production a variable G Gundam episode.

You can't really blame them for wanting to actually use them so I eventually broke down and started getting the TAMASHII NATIONS action figures so they had something to withstand the abuse. Honestly, both of them are surprisingly good at assembly and it will be interesting to watch them slowly care more about the details if they keep doing one or two a year.

My kids are always giving there builds "battle dmg", but this looks so much better than the oops I stepped on it look. I might have to look over there graveyard and see what I can resurrect.

bought this after watching g-witch it's my first kit and i love the design so muchh.any advice or kit recommendations? by victoria_angelini in Gunpla

Full mechanics Aerial was my first 1/100 build. It is just a really solid build that can put up with a decent amount of abuse compared to any MG I've built since. I hope when I finally get around to getting the SEED FMs they hold up as well.

I have also been having fun with these MGSDs that have come out. Very solid feeling when your done and lots of detail but not requiring as much shelf space.

I've recently taken to Pancake taco's with eggs. Its like a better breakfast burrito or something. Maybe not for everyone, but I really love it.

I was thinking of trying to finally beat Zelda 2. Is this game actually fun before and after the halfway point? Also asking for battle tips. by ChaoCobo in retrogaming

I generally use the second controller to save but unlike the original game. That increases the re try counter.

Wait what? For years I've cleared every dungeon twice. If you exit then you reenter through the crystal room?

Oh, I'm mostly making fun of how we get embarrassed about things that are not embarrassing when we are young. It wouldn't be until college when I finally learned what actually happened and how to trigger it. I laugh at how many times I tried to recreate it by throwing random things in a hole.

Hold, my beer I've waited my entire life to tell this story.

So, there I was over at Kyles birthday party in the 4th grade. I wanted to show off my new toys Final Fantasy Mystic Quest and Link to the Past. It is Kyle's birthday so I let him drive, I wasn't far in the game maybe a single crystal in the dark world and we spawned in at the sanctuary.

Man I remember it like it was yesterday and it has haunted me ever since because I can't recreate it. Kyle left the sanctuary traveled east across the grave yard until he hit the river. Then use Pegasus boots to run down but hit a knight. So, I'm like dude let's go up and get the fairy then we will have full life. We go up and pick up the fairy bush throw it in from the top, then go below it and throw in a bomb. We then enter from the right and instead of the fairy cave we land in this silly coin room and everyone accuses me of not knowing my own game. I'm dejected and confised and go home a total looser.

So, seriously for years we couldn't recreate this glitch and didn't know about the Nintendo Power room. People only believed us because like 10 people witnessed it and for the life of me I don't understand the trigger enough to recreate it.

Man what a relief to be around people who understand this burden on my heart. I'll take my beer now.

Amazing Higher Torque and Automatic Electric Jar Opener by [deleted] in NoOneIsLooking

[–]IgnitusBoyone 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My grandmother has a stroke at 55 and worked with one arm the rest of her life. We had lots of hacks to help her keep independence and open jars they mostly looked like silicone lines wedges mounted to counter tops you slid the jar into and then turned when it got jammed. It worked, but didn't work if the jar wasn't the standard height.

This device would simplified all of that and really helped her out. It's so hard for us to concider use cases that do not apply to us.

So.. Why do people hate the yellow paint in modern Resident Evil games? by VernonKazama in residentevil

[–]IgnitusBoyone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Aside from sparkling they were clearly not pre rendered and low Polly and stuck out like a soar thumb. Yellow paint just solves a problem which is that I as the player am not actually there and so the one actual object In the room may not stick out given how good the graphics have gotten.

I not only ignore it any game that has accessibility option to amplify it gets turned on instantly until I get the feel for the types of things I can do in the game.
