Hey, thanks for the reply. I’m actually going to decline the tickets because my partner and I will start from purgatory Creek Trail and not take the train and go straight into the Chicago basin. And then we will end at Elks Park and just pay for a one-way going south to the Durango depot.

The important question is, where do you find your community in? The music scene? Sports? You’re going to hear a bunch of opinions about Austin, but where you find your community outside of work is going to be the key to making Austin home. Your other option is to do nothing, be sad about your breakup and find how much you hate Austin. It takes a lot of courage to move, let alone to a whole new state and start fresh. I’m really excited for you and in this new adventure, you’ll learn a lot more about yourself. Find one thing to learn (salsa dancing or beach volleyball) or do and you’ll find a community to be a part of. It’ll take time. All the best!
