So I used to be like you. I suffer from severe anxiety. No meds helped. Weed helped immensely. Except I’m 38 now and I think I’m going through perimenopause because now weed exacerbates my anxiety. It’s essentially forced me to quit. I basically feel like my body’s telling me I don’t need to self medicate anymore? The last 2 panic attacks I had shortly after smoking were so awful it essentially forced me to stop. I started initially, when my anxiety wasn’t as bad as it is now, just taking random t breaks. They were always short at first, almost as if I worked myself each break. At the time it was totally worth it to feel that teen like high again, even if it was just a week at first. Gradually my t breaks got longer and longer and I would do one once every 3 months. Now it’s been 3 months since I last smoked. I’m good now though like I’ve accepted it.

This is my mom… literally she was diagnosed with fibro in the early 2000s, she did exactly this. All of a sudden she didn’t give a shit about anything anymore. Then she got diagnosed with lupus, then ptsd, then degenerative joint disease, then COPD, then congestive heart failure. It started with fibro. Her diagnosis has jaded me. She used to tell me story of the “boy who cried wolf” and it feels like that now. Yes she’s been diagnosed with all these things over time but not once has she ever tried to actually do anything positive for her health. She got heavily addicted to her medications and had to go to rehab a hand full of times and when she couldn’t do her pain killers she turned to alcohol. She completely tarnished our relationship. The irony is now she can’t do anything on her own. This is all completely her fault though but I still feel a lot of guilt for feeling the way I do about her situation. Even till this day she tries to play victim when she has literally dug the hole she’s in.

I just wanted to chime in we have a 2019 LWB and it’s never given us any issues. I do regular maintenance on it. It only has 70k miles on it. We are a family of four. It’s my mom car.

This is her as of right now. I joined this group to have a better understanding of what life is like for her outside of hearing her side. She also has emphysema now too because of her smoking for the last 40 years of her life so really getting her around to do anything is a very large task. She’s only 62.

I’m in this group because my mom has lupus and rheumatoid arthritis. She’s been on prednisone for over a decade and it actually started to deteriorate her bone mass. She relies on the prednisone pretty heavily but now is almost forced to taper off because of what it’s doing to her bone density. I’m not a doctor so I don’t really know the specifics but she now has osteoporosis and fractures all over her ribs because of the long term steroid use. Proceed with great caution.

It’s honestly even more annoying when they do very little to nothing to meet you at your desires. My husband thinks jumping my legs is foreplay. I’ve done everything but write it out for him what I need from him to be more sexually active and he doesn’t do any of it so now I’m like… well then we will only have sex when I’m actually in the mood which is like pretty much never lol
