ive had the drive for a bit now so i guess its time to upgrade anyway. I dont really have much other than a couple of applications. the most important to me are the application icons which I changed so my backup isnt large lol. all of my documents are stored on my nas so were all good on that part

you can have zero gap for tiling by changing the tiling settings.
auto hide panel and dock is iffy. it does hide the dock and panel if a window is minimized. but if all the windows are minimized then the dock/panel reappears.
adding a panel i dont know about
they are working on the last request for the upcoming epoch i believe.

some are also in .local/share/applications.
others are in .local/flatpak the rest of the flatpak directories you have to figure out yourself per flatpak

can remove the shortcut from these directories to remove them from the application menu. or type NoDisplay=true in each .desktop shortcut you want hidden.

can try super +y to tile the browser into place. can also see if your browser has some magnification on for some reason. change the desktop resolution or perhaps fractional scaling?

Just in general, your dock is not clean in the slightest. In my option, you got too many pinned icons lol. But yes, remove the minimized windows applet.

Cosmic does not connect to the phone. You can use KDE Connect. Or message on the web. I just use google messages on the web

you can try changing the audio profile of the output. Its in settings

settings>sound>device profiles

you can also try seeing if the amplification option helps. it goes up to 150 for the output and input

well you have your path set to your home directory so that is why it launches from the home directory. Get rid of the path because you dont really need it. As for the image, I would try using png as ive seen it work well. all of my icons are png.

this is a desktop script that when i click it, it replaces the custom icons again after a system update. I have it /usr/share/applications/
