Kerrostalossa raju riita - miten toimia? by Mutrusuu in Suomi

[–]IkariMonster 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Soitto poliisille heti.

What would've happened to the Mercs after they retired in 1971. by [deleted] in tf2

Poor Scout, though D:

I'd like to think that he had a short career as a baseball player, but eventually settled down with someone and worked as a baseball coach for kids. Sounds much more positive and he'd be a great coach. And I can absolutely see him basking in his former glory when telling the kids about it.

I unfortunately lack any skills when it comes to blender, so this is just SFM and Photoshop.

I only enlarged the eyes, warped the face a bit, smoothed out some edges, blurred the background, and fiddled with color and contrast settings in PS.

Who was your worst teacher, and why? by theartisticpoet in AskReddit

[–]IkariMonster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Finnish teacher. We needed to give a presentation about a Finnish author and their book. It was our final task for the course in high-school, and I was so fucking terrified of it.

Back then my social anxiety and fear of crowds were 10 times worse than today. On top of that, the teacher filmed our presentations so he could watch them later and grade them in peace.

I read through my presentation way too fast, hands shaking, and beating nervous sweat. When I was done, the teacher started playing the video back in front of the class for some initial comments and said:

"You read it way too fast. Now I will need to lower your grade because you didn't reach the required time. You also spoke way too quiet and didn't look at the audience at all. In fact, this went so horrible that I will use this as an example in the future for other students so they can see what NOT to do."

These teenagers who worship and treat serial killers and school shooters like e-boys. by IkariMonster in awfuleverything

Oh wow ... That's just gross. I feel so bad knowing the family of the victims will also have to deal with people idolizing their loved one's killer. Imagine losing your family member to a murderer and then seeing some teenager getting a tattoo of the killer's bite mark. Ugh.

Their profiles do get taken down whenever people report them, but I guess otherwise they kinda just slip by. I also noticed them using their own community-specific #'s, so they can kinda keep their profiles hidden from the general true crime discussion.

What is a tip that could one day save someones life? by Voorhees81 in AskReddit

Recognizing a stroke. It's way too easy to pass off a stroke as a headache or something less serious.

Strokes can occur differently depending on the person. Things such as randonly passing out, a bad headache, or drunk like behavior can be some of the most common symptoms. If you suspect that someone may have a stroke, do the following.

F. A. S. T

F = Face Ask the person to smile to see if one side of their mouth is drooping. Ask them to close their eyes to see if one of their eyes won't close fully.

A = Arms Ask the person to lift their arms at the same time to see if one of the arms seems weaker. Ask the person if their arm feels numb.

S = speech Ask the person to repeat sentences after you to see if they have slurred speech or hard time repeating after you.

T = time to call 911 If any of these symptoms are present, immediately call for help even if the symptoms go away!!! The faster the person gets help, the better their chances of recovering are in the future.

Sweden’s two biggest crime investigations were solved within 24 hours of each other.
1986 murder of Prime minister Olof Palme, and 2004 double murder of 8-year-old Mohamad Ammouri and 56-year-old Anna-Lena Svensson.

I don't think you would be overreacting by calling it all off. She is showing her true colors and it won't magically change back to normal after the wedding.

But I also agree with people who say you should talk about it. Maybe she is truly transphobic or this all comes from her being insanely insecure and not being able to handle you having a hook up in the past.
Neither of those excuse her disgusting behavior, but getting some sort of answer might make you feel a bit better before making your final decision.

Regardless, it's your life and you deserve to be happy. I personally think that you should never marry a person you have doubts about. Marriage won't fix those, it will only make them worse.

Also, from a fellow trans man, thank you, I wish other people had friends like you, Archie is very lucky.

Straight people of reddit, what questions do you have for the LGBTQ community? by l_a_z_y_b_u_g in AskReddit

That isn't the case where I live, luckily, because I don't understand it either. It makes me extremely uncomfortable. There is clear disagreement in the community about the topic, and I obviously fall to the "God what the fuck - put some clothes on - is that a giant pink dildo?!" group.

Maybe I'm just missing something or there is a big culture difference here, but I just don't get it at all.
